LUSH MOUNTAIN WEDDING AT DEVIL'S THUMB RANCH

Wedding season is in full swing and we are so excited to share the details of J&S’s weekend at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. The couple and their families kicked off the weekend with an intimate dinner in the Grotto served family style. Family shared fond memories of J + S and there was not a dry eye in sight!

We kicked off the Friday activities with a horseback ride to a picnic lunch in the field where the couple enjoyed the company of their family and wedding party. Once returned, we welcome all the guests to a pig roast welcome party. We kept with the neutral theme of the wedding but played with the patterns in an Aztec inspired print on the runners and tablecloths from Nuage Design.

The wedding day started with the most perfect weather. The barn was complimented with a neutral color palette, but added major impact with a full greenery ceiling adorned with sleek black chandeliers and twinkle lights. Lush greenery and pampas grass accented the barn and ceremony site by the ever-so-talented Wandering Poppy.

After the couple became newlyweds, guests were welcomed with a one-of-a-kind guest book of an ice sculpture built to hold hockey pucks for guests to sign. Guests sipped on two signature cocktails and a signature shot named after three of their pets. Once the party started, guests were welcomed with a thank you from the couple followed by a surprise “icing”. Guests then noshed on wagyu beef and Colorado trout. After the special first dances, the dance floor opened up to one of the best dance parties ever – courtesy of The Get Down. Late-night snacks consisted of a poutine bar, a nod to the groom’s Canadian roots and their adorable cat! Once the dancing ended, everyone made their way to the afterparty to keep the night going.
