We first met Taylor + Phil when we launched our Calluna Consulting Sessions during the onset of COVID-19, one small way of giving back in the midst of a worldwide pandemic that brought so much uncertainty to our world – including the world of weddings. We saw and spoke to so many couples who were at a loss on if/how/when/where to move forward with their upcoming nuptials and were in search of expert advice, no strings attached. We’re elated that not one of those conversations (remember Sophia + Tommy?!) but now two of those consulting conversations evolved into a larger partnership and turned into Calluna Clients!
Taylor + Phil had their heart set on a Hawaiian wedding (also where he popped the question) when the pandemic had other plans. In a pivot rooted in trust and love (with a few logistics), they decided to scratch the plans of an April wedding, still muddied in uncertainty, and instead elope in Colorado, the state they both grew up and fell in love in. With special nods to their would-be-Hawaii wedding (ie. the lei exchange to encompass the Aloha Spirit from Hawaii, even in 8 degree Colorado weather!!), they honored the journey of their love in the most authentic way. We had the unique opportunity to help bring a Plan C wedding to life for these wonderful two people and for that we’ll be forever grateful!
They came to us with 3 weeks on the clock from their new wedding date and we planned from A to Z with them in record time. Taylor and Phil were SUCH a joy – collaborative, creative, communicative, decisive, making each decisions with poise and care. By some miracle we landed an A-Team vendor team and the day unfolded more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. Watching them wed in front of 8 members of their immediate family was so special (& emotional!) and a resounding reminder that Love is not cancelled – it always finds a way.
