Running a business for the long haul takes dedication. You could compare it to a yoga practice or training for a marathon. It takes practice, repetition and most of all patience and deep breathing. But the most important thing is why do you do what you do? Simon Sinek’s Ted Talk “ Start with Why” was inspirational and defining for me as a business owner. If you are in business and you don’t know why you do what you do, we can help you find out. Figuring out your Why and setting an intention with your business will not only help you in the next month but in the next year, five years and beyond! How do you stay relevant in an ever changing business world? I’d love to help you figure that out!

Why Calluna Consulting

Calluna Events is in our 15th season in the industry and I’ve been in the Event Industry for over 20 years. As I continue to learn and grow, change and adapt in this wonderful world of weddings I realize I have so much to offer. I am grateful to the individuals who have trusted me as a coach and mentor and honored to impart my knowledge of running a successful business, as well as what not to do, with the hopes to elevate and grow our industry. If I can inspire one person to take a leap they never knew possible in their business that would be an incredible gift to me.

WORTH EVERY PENNY…..Looking back I would have paid her twice as much! I had only been engaged for 24 hour hours and I already knew who I would be asking to plan what would be the BIGGEST day of our lives. I had seen her work and heard her name and without even meeting her I had made my decision. Calluna Events! Heather Dwight! As we moved through the days, weeks, and months Heather continued to amaze me in countless ways. She carried the stress, managed the relationships, helped me make every decision (and made a lot for me 😉 ), lined up the vendors, reviewed the contracts, worked with Devil’s Thumb, handled every single detail, and most importantly brought my dreams to life! We arrived at Devil’s Thumb on July 21st….2 days before our wedding. Heather made sure that those 2 days were relaxing and worry-free. Nate and I were able to enjoy the days prior to our wedding all because of Heather and her adorable/dependable assistant Sammy! We spent time with our families and friends, hiked, went to the pool, ate, drank, slept, and enjoyed everything DTR had to offer. On the day of our wedding we had 3 moving trucks full of decor (every thing from chandeliers, a teepee, couches, tables, chargers, silverware, goblets, tons of flowers, a donuts wall, donuts, chairs, etc) , more vendors than I can remember, unloading, loading, setting up, putting together, and people coming and going in every direction. Calluna handled it all! There was ZERO stress. To say our wedding was a dream come true would be a total understatement! It was pure MAGIC! The most magical day of my life! It was perfect in every way. And if something went wrong…I never knew about it! Every vendor we used was because of Heather and every single one brought their A game. Calluna Events aka. Our Wedding Dream Team, KILLED IT! I always knew our wedding would be special but Calluna Events made it memorable in every possible way! WE LOVE YOU, HEATHER!!!!!

I began working with Heather and the Calluna team a year out from our wedding in Boulder. We chose Calluna because of their home base location and all of the glowing reviews. They did not disappoint! I think Heather spent about 1,000 + hours on me in the year that we planned the wedding. She is so calm, professional and knowledgable. She has such amazing relationships with vendors from all over who we ended up loving as well. Heather will customize your experience weather you want her team to take care of every little detail or just the day of. I’m not sure what we would have done without their involvement in our big day! There were definitely a few times when they had to scramble last minute because of a mishap which in our case was the weather the day of. Regardless, our guests had the time of their lives and this is in no small part because of Calluna. Heathers 15 years of experience shows in her work. The best part is, she truly loves what she does and that will reflect onto your day. The day after the wedding, Heather sent me loads of photos and videos that she personally took throughout the day. How special since you have to wait so long for professional photographs come back. We love Heather and Calluna events and consider them family!

Heather was absolutely wonderful to work with on the planning of our wedding. We chose to get married at Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming and from day one, Heather was in contact with the ranch’s team, setting up site visits, and beginning to coordinate all of the details. She has an extensive number of vendors that she has worked with that she could recommend to us. We were blown away by the quality of the floral team, the photographers, and the stationary teams that she has worked with and their work was incredibly professional and top of the line. Writing this review is a lot more difficult than imagined – I could literally list hundreds of reasons why Calluna Events and Heather Dwight are so amazing. Put as concisely as possible, it cannot be easy to take a couple’s vision and make it real, but that is exactly what Calluna did. Heather knows all the best vendors, has fabulous taste & is incredibly organized.Heather & her team ran everything the day of the wedding. Not having to deal with one issue or oversee the set-up of the tent, dinner, flowers, ceremony, or reception cannot be valued. Everyone hears the day of horror stories – this doesn’t happen with Calluna.The whole experience was perfect. We loved Heather and knew that she truly cared about the wedding. We could not have asked for anything more.

Our daughter’s beautiful wedding took place last weekend at the Vail Wedding Deck and Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado. As you might imagine with two venues, the logistics were a bit tricky, and the weather made it even more complicated. Fortunately for us, we had Heather Dwight leading the team from Calluna Events. Heather, Gabbie and Spice flawlessly pulled everything together. These ladies are true pros at what they do. They kept everyone on track beginning the night before at the rehearsal and continuing through the day of the wedding. I’m a cinematographer with K Hodge Films. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Heather and her staff a number of times since 2011. From a vendor’s perspective, things couldn’t be run smoother. Everyone is well informed of everything going on and any issues or bumps in the road that come up are dealt with in a professional and respectful manner. My very first time working with Heather was for a wedding that ended up taking place less than 24 hours after my first born daughter came into this world. I was ecstatic and happy and also very much not wanting to leave my wife and newborn baby girl in the hospital. I called Heather and explained the situation and she was incredibly calm with me. This could’ve gone any number of ways… especially a private phone conversation happening behind the scenes. She could have yelled, she could have cursed at me, she could have done any number of things… but Heather was as cool as a cucumber and helped figure out the situation. I ended up still shooting the wedding obviously and it ended up being one of our best films from that year. When you’re planning a wedding, all of the vendors have to be willing to work together as a team and from what I’ve seen, Heather and her team are the glue that keep everyone working together with the common goal of providing amazing service and support to the people who matter the most, the couple.

We planned our wedding in just three months, and although there are more moving parts than we ever could have imagined, with Heather’s knowledge, guidance, and confidence, it was actually a relatively stress free and fun process!
