This wedding was so special to us! When Kate approached us ten months before her wedding and said she was between getting married in California or Colorado, but with her parents being in Colorado it seemed a natural fit we jumped at the opportunity to work with her. It was really important to Kate, if we did the wedding in Colorado, that they get married at the iconic St. Malo Chapel, set at the foothills of Rocky Mountain National Park. In the first month of working together, we set out to find the perfect venue for them! After a month and a half of venue research, we finally decided on Fish Creek Ranch, a private camp in Estes Park as the backdrop for their spectacular tented reception in the mountains.
We embarked on planning and designing this wedding from the ground up in the middle of the mountains, working very closely with the mother of the bride, Jenny. One of Kate’s other priorities was having a pole tent so we enlisted the trust of our friends at Sperry Colorado. We had the help of our friends at Eclectic Hive for the decor and design. Building a full wedding on the side of a mountain with no access to water or electricity is always a fun but challenging feat for us, and one we always love!
