A little more about Heather!
When not planning weddings you can find me…
Spending time with my 7 year old daughter Maggie, 3 year old son Grey and my husband Brandon. They are the center of my universe and my husband is my favorite person in the world. I also love playing in the outdoors, hiking or riding my bike, doing yoga, traveling and gardening.
My favorite place I have traveled is…
Scotland! My Mom was born and raised in Scotland and I was 4 months old when I travelled there for the first time. Being half Scottish, I feel at home there and the people, landscape and traditions of Scotland have a place in my heart. I can’t wait for the time I can take both my kids to meet their Scottish family. My favorite vacation was Italy where I went on my honeymoon – 2 weeks on vacation with my husband without phones or computers. We absorbed the culture, traveling from the south to the north and did a four-day bike tour through Tuscany. I’m not sure we’ll find the time to go away and unplug for 2 weeks again but it was worth it!
My secret talent is…
I know how to dance salsa pretty darn well and love Latin music. Put on a little Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony or Enrique Iglesias and I just want to move!
If I wasn’t a wedding planner I would be…
A geologist. I decided when I was in 7th grade I wanted to study rocks and I was fascinated with how the earth formed. I studied geology all through high school and graduated college with a BS in Geology. My college internship was at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. After moving to Colorado my career changed directions after getting a full time job as an Event Planner, my other passion. But I still love science and have a passion for learning, especially about the world around us!
