Our job is so wonderful for many reasons, but we especially love when our clients start to feel more like friends. Rebecca and Ethan were such a lovely couple and we were so grateful for the opportunity to plan their day. I love the story behind their inspiration! When Rebecca’s parents were married, they used the gift money to purchase an amazing Persian rug. That rug now sits in Rebecca and Ethan’s living room, and was the entire inspiration for their day – full of navy and marsala hues. Amazing!
The event took place at C Lazy U Ranch outside of Granby, CO. Rebecca and Ethan made their wedding a whole weekend affair! Guests flew in on Thursday to C Lazy U Ranch and participated in numerous ranch activities, karaoke on Thursday evening, and a welcome celebration on Friday evening before the festivities kicked off.
There were so many sweet, personal details to this wedding, that its hard to choose a favorite! Ethan is a comic book lover, and took on the task of designing their wedding programs. Such a unique and fun idea!
Another homage to Ethan’s love of comics – the place card holders. Each table was identified by a superhero Lego figurine. The base of the figurine had each guest’s name drawn on by Sophie with Sweet Zion Paperie.
Rebecca and Ethan said their “I Do’s” beneath a custom designed teepee overlooking an incredible valley of changing Aspen trees. There was not a dry eye in the house!
The ceremony site was called Woodsie and on the large arch that guests entered under, we hung giant, navy and gold R + E pinatas – a true of the couple’s fun and charismatic personalities. There was truly not a detail forgotten.
Rebecca and her mother walked down an aisle that was lined with a gorgeous wheat display made by J. Gilbert Studios. The florals were truly stunning, but not nearly as stunning as Rebecca in her strapless white gown, lace bolero, and navy stole. While they recessed down the aisle, guests tossed dried flower petals that came from Rebecca’s mother’s garden. Another sweet personal touch that we adored.
Guests were then treated to a cocktail hour up at Woodsie and after, took wagon rides down to the large site for the reception. Guests entered the gorgeous haybarn to rows of farm tables, a plethora of florals and giant, sparkly pinatas (one of our favorites!). Rebecca really spearheaded the design process and we loved how her choices really reflected her personality! Guests dined on a delicious family style meal and then satisfied their sweet tooth’s from the donut wall. The entire party was kicked off by The Hora done by The Radio band. One vendor said “I gage a wedding by the hora, and this is a GREAT wedding!” We adore you, Rebecca & Ethan. Here’s to you!
