We’re thrilled to share a more in depth look into Brie & Bennett’s incredible wedding weekend! Brie came to us in the winter of 2022 with a vision to plan a perfect, personalized and stunning wedding weekend in one of their favorite places – Vail, Colorado. When we started talking through the overall vision, the personal details they wanted to incorporate – we knew we were in for a treat!
We kicked off the weekend at Chasing Rabbits – Vail’s newest entertainment venue for an intimate rehearsal dinner with family and friends filled with lush black and white florals, a tequila shot escort display, incredible food and the most heartfelt speeches.
The morning of Brie & Bennett’s wedding day was about as perfect of a morning as you could get in Colorado. Brie and Bennett spent the morning getting ready with their best friends and family. Brie wanted her bridal party to feel special – the custom toile pajamas were detailed with each bridesmaids hometown or a city that’s important to them.
The invitation suite, which was carefully designed and crafted by Knapp Design Co. was a perfect blend of mountain chic and to keep with the custom toile theme – she designed one for Brie & Bennett that included their favorite things – playing cards, skiing, the brides love of pasta, the restaurant they went on their first date (which we then incorporated into the dinner menu design!), Colorado wildflowers and of course, their beloved golden retriever, Lennon.
After getting ready, we headed up to the top of Vail Mountain to exchange vows in front of all their loved ones. Here to capture the day was the one and only Alp & Isle Photography and Reagan Lynn Films – who couldn’t have captured this day more perfectly. In typical Colorado fashion, storms looked like the might threaten that perfectly Colorado blue sky but it held off to create the most picturesque wedding ceremony, filled with humor and love!
Back down on the Eagle Bahn Lawn, cocktail hour was set with a stunning round bar, cozy lounge groupings and chic scalloped umbrellas from the creative team at House of Wilde. We served old fashioned’s (the groom’s favorite) and branded the orange peel with the couples initals while guests noshed on tuna poké cones & wagyu meatballs.
After aprés hour – came the main event. Guests made their way to the reception tent and were greeted with two STUNNING entrances into the center. The centerpiece – a custom escort wall where guests found their names on the individual bags of pasta, complete with a recipe of the bride and groom’s favorite pasta recipes. It was truly a show stopping element that wow’d all the guests and infused so much personality into the event.
Guests made their way inside the tent to a greenery filled tent artfully orchestrated by Wandering Poppy Co. – it was truly a masterpiece. The white and green color palette. Our vendor partners who helped bring this vision to life were outstanding – LMD Productions executed the uplighting and draping, our rental teams at House of Wilde and Colorado Party Rentals
In perhaps some of our favorite details of the wedding day was the incorporation of the brides love for pasta, a nod to her Italian heritage. The place cards were shaped like raviolis and the cover of the custom fabric menu was a sketch of Gemma in Dallas – the location of hteir first date. Above it says “You Ever Been to Gemma?” which is how Bennett asked Brie is she wanted to go out for dinner!
From one of our very first meetings, Brie said “all I want is to eat spaghetti & meatballs in a wedding gown.” She asked and we delivered! With the option of a Colorado steak or a trout – guests also go to choose spaghetti & meatballs. All her dreams came true and Brie ate spaghetti & meatballs in her wedding down and shared an adorable “Lady & the Tramp” moment with her groom!
Our other favorite moment from the day was the custom built bar from House of Wilde – which served as the centerpiece of the evening. Guests grabbed signature cocktails, mixed and mingled and the shelving units were customized with pieces that sourced from the bride and groom’s own living room. A crowd favorite – the custom art pieced given to them from her brother’s girlfriend of matchbooks (their favorite thing to collect) of all the places that have been important to them throughout their relationship.
After dinner, Downbeat Agency’s DJ Live completely rocked the dance floor all night – the dance floor was packed as the bride and groom sang, danced (and crowd surfed?!) with their friends and family. It was an absolutely incredible weekend celebrating one of the loveliest couples.
