Here at Calluna we are always looking for new ways to highlight and honor some of the amazing creative partners we get to work with. We feel incredibly fortunate to work with some seriously talented vendors in the industry, and we want to show them off to you in our new Calluna Community Series! We will sit down with some of the fabulous vendors of Colorado and get to know about them, their business and what life is like behind the scenes. Stay tuned for more!
This week for Calluna Community we caught up with Emily of Emily Sacco Photography!
Cheers! Xo, Calluna
- Describe what you do?
“I am a wedding photographer, but I like to think of myself as more of a preserver of memories.”
- What is your idea of a dream project?
“A dream project would consist of a dream team and a dream idea. Something that has never been done before- a creative vision that has never been done before.”
- What has been your favorite wedding that you have worked/attended?
“I’ve photographed over 100 events so it’s hard to pick a favorite, but one that always comes to mind was a small backyard wedding. The couple opted out of inviting hundreds of people and instead invited fifty of their closest friends and family and had gorgeous flowers and decor. The evening was so nice because everyone was relaxed!
- What does your morning routine look like?
“I travel all the time so my morning routine changes quite a bit, but you can always count on coffee, meditation and good music.”
- What are some of your favorite trends that you are seeing?
“I love seeing some color come back on the scene and all the different chair and table options. These is so much you can do with a reception space and I love seeing pieces come together that I wouldn’t expect to.”
- What advice would you give to a younger you?
“RELAX. We always want everything right now, and as I get older I’m finding the path to what we want is just as beautiful.”
- What makes you excited to go to work in the morning?
“My couples. The amazing people who trust me to document their special moments give me so much joy!”
- What is your cocktail, or what are you drinking tonight?
“Wine, always wine.”
