Labor Day is just around the corner and here at Calluna we are incredibly excited for the long weekend! Not only are we eager for three Calluna Couples to tie the knot this weekend, but we are also thrilled to kick back and enjoy this All-American holiday! With gorgeous weather in the forecast we cannot wait to spend the holiday exploring what our beautiful state has to offer and appreciating our lovely country – and we hope you join in on the fun. Whether you are looking to spend the day tasting delicious food and listening to music in downtown Denver, or you are headed up to the mountains for some breathtaking scenery, our guide will give you some fantastic ideas on how to spend this upcoming weekend!
Enjoy!
Labor Day in Denver:
Did you know we are tasty food fanatics? Last week we covered some of our favorite food truck hotspots… so it should be no surprise our recommendation is A Taste of Colorado, a downtown Denver food, music and arts festival being hosted this weekend! If doesn’t already sound perfect enough, admission is free! The festival will be packed with booths selling jewelry, clothing and other unique goodies! After you get your shopping fix, try some tasty bites from the 50 participating restaurants (our stomachs are excited already!). This festival will not disappoint and will appeal to everyone, including the kids who can enjoy the day riding carnival rides or hanging at the magic show!
Labor Day in the Mountains:
Looking to head up to the rockies for some fresh mountain air? The mountains are packed full with weekend activities including Vail’s Gourmet on Gore, and Beaver Creek’s Oktoberfest. From complimentary yoga on the lawn to traditional Austrian music, these mountain festivals are guaranteed to get you off the couch and keep you entertainment. If the Austrian dancing isn’t enough for you, bring the family along for the Oktoberfest Family 1K run!
Hosting for Labor Day:
Not going to be in make it out and about for the long weekend? Hosting a labor day party is the perfect way to celebrate the last few weeks of summer surrounded by family or friends. Looking for some festive party inspiration? Martha Stewart is giving us the inside scoop with her informative yet stylish Labor Day bash guide.
