There are countless reasons to have a summertime wedding- gorgeous weather, flowers in bloom, and being able to celebrate outdoors! Despite the joys of a beautiful outdoor celebration, summertime can bring anything from scorching temperatures to afternoon showers, and keeping guests comfortable is a major priority. Below are a few of our favorite tips and tricks on how to keep your wedding guests comfortable, no matter the elements.
- Umbrellas | Umbrellas and parasols add a timeless touch to any ceremony, rain or shine!
- Refreshments | Providing guests with cool refreshments as they arrive at your outdoor ceremony is simple, and goes a long way. You can even get creative with different varieties and flavors of water, iced tea, and lemonade!
- Cool Cocktail Hour Treats | One idea we love is providing guests with unique and refreshing treats like an ice cream or popsicle bar during cocktail hour.
- Have a Backup Plan | A solid backup plan is a must. Although we hope to never have to use it, not planning ahead can be disastrous, especially in the case of rain. In the end, your guests will be thankful that their comfort was a major priority for you while planning your big day.
