It’s been three weeks since the 100-year flood devastated our community here in Boulder. We had to move two weddings due to the flood – one within several hours once the flooding started. We’ll also be traveling many more miles to get to one of our weddings this weekend due to road closures.
The Calluna Events office was spared, however we are personally dealing with flood damage in three homes of Calluna Events Planners. Our neighbors are STILL pumping water out of their houses and removing damaged property from their basements. Our community is broken hearted but we are so proud at what we’ve all accomplished in such a short amount of time.
A few ways you can help!
Sarah Roshan, a Colorado wedding photographer, started Save my Colorado Wedding immediately after the flooding start to connect Colorado wedding vendors with brides whose weddings have been displace. If you know someone in need of help moving their wedding or finding a new venue to do closures please take a look at their Facebook page
Open Heart Colorado is a group of locally owned businesses who joined creative forces to create a logo, a t-shirt and a sticker to raise money to help Donate Boulder raise money for people in our community affected by the floods. All money after expenses go directly to helping people in need!
The Mudslingers is a volunteer group that formed immediately to help those in need. They have a website where you can donate your time as well as submit your needs. They ask that you submit your needs in the Ask for Help section. From here it will be approved and dispatched.
We are sending our thoughts to everyone in our community affected by the flooding and hope we can repair the damage and heal as quickly as possible!
We love you Colorado!
