This week we are excited to introduce our new Lead Planner, Claudia! Claudia Behring is a native of Michigan who has worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade. During her role as a catering manager at a lakeside resort in Michigan, Claudia fell in love with the intricacies of planning events. Wanting a change of scenery, she moved to Houston, Texas and worked as an events manager at multiple hotels. She produced anything from Indian weddings to galas to seminars for small intimate groups to those well over a thousand. Claudia also worked at a wedding planning firm in Houston that was a leading authority for South Asian weddings, some of which were featured in magazines and online. Claudia brings to the team big city, big production experience for a variety of cultures with a confident attention to detail that she has mastered with planning multi-million dollar events. What she loves most is getting to know what excites her clients and helping their visions come into fruition.

What do you do to relax after a wedding is over?
“To relax after weddings, I like to go get my nails done. It’s my one guilty higher maintenance thing that I sometimes indulge myself with.”
What do you like to do when you’re not planning weddings?
“In my spare time, I love riding and racing my bike. I race the local Colorado scene and some bigger races as a category 2 cyclist, and I enjoy riding my bikes through the mountains here in Colorado.”
What is something you have seen at a wedding that you absolutely loved?
“Recently at a wedding, I saw a couple do a private welcome reception poolside with cabanas that were piped and draped and even brought in pillows for each cabana. There were different food and drink stations in each cabana. It was quite spectacular!”
What is your favorite reception song?
” I am a fan of the classic Journey song “Don’t Stop Believin’ “”
Favorite flower?
“My favorite flower is the Phalaenopsis orchid.”
Favorite dress designer?
“My favorite dress designer is Naeem Khan.”
Favorite wedding movie?
“My favorite wedding movie is Sweet Home Alabama (although she marries her childhood sweetheart, not the man she was engaged to in the end!)”
What is some advice you would give couples planning their own wedding?
“When planning your wedding, it is so easy to get caught up in all of the little details. Remember the reason behind the wedding and be sure to be true to yourselves throughout the planning process.”
