We're calluna

This week as a part of our Friday Introduction series, we are hearing from Gabbie! Gabriele Harden, a native of Boulder, Colorado joined Calluna Events in 2007 as an intern, using the opportunity to nurture her excitement and interest in event and wedding planning while completing college requirements. During her growth with Calluna Events, Gabbie has mastered the use of her innate sense of organization and attention to detail to be able to realize the potential of every wedding and event. Gabbie loves the challenge and complexity of adapting the planning process to each event, and bringing all the detailed pieces together. And she loves getting to know each of her clients and being a part of their special day.

A little more about Gabbie…

What do you do to relax after a wedding is over?

I always take a shower to relax my body from the post wedding rush/excitement! Once I bed, I usually scroll through Instagram to check in on other events from the day. Sunday’s are reserved for a decadent breakfast and a lot of downtime!

What is something you have seen at a wedding that you absolutely loved?

I love a statement flower piece and when my couples are ahead of the trend! Molly + Kyle’s ceremony wreath backdrop was absolutely stunning and one of the first I had seen!

Favorite flower?

Peony! Not only do they remind me of my great-grandmother, grandmother and mom but they make such a statement in a flower arrangement or solo!

Favorite dress designer?

It’s impossible to choose just one, but I’m definitely partial to Liancarlo who designed my wedding gown.

Favorite wedding movie?

While not traditionally thought of as a wedding movie, The Sound of Music is one of my favorite movies of all time and the wedding scene is so magical and iconic!

What is some advice you would give couples planning their own wedding?

Choose the few things that are really important to you (photos, music, decor, stationary)! By focusing on these aspects while being flexible about the other details, it will really make the day about you!
