Happy Friday! Today we couldn’t be more excited to introduce everyone to our Fall 2020 Intern, Elizabeth! We can’t wait for you to get to know her this season and we’re so proud to welcome her aboard Team Calluna. Meet Elizabeth:
Elizabeth Hefron, a Charlotte native, and recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications focusing in International Public Relations and Spanish. While spending a semester abroad in Barcelona and exploring all over Europe, she fell in love with traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures. Elizabeth would describe herself as someone who loves being around others, and all things fashion, design, and writing. She thrives working on a team and collaborating with others and uses her creative mindset to think outside of the box when it comes to problem-solving. With past experience working at a bridal boutique in Charlotte as a Bridal Associate, she loved being able to be a part of the wedding day by assisting the bride in finding the perfect gown and saying “Yes” to the dress. She is so excited to be able to dive into wedding and event planning and work with the Calluna Team to make the dream wedding a reality.
Favorite part of the wedding day?: The moment the bride and groom first see each other, for the first time, it is so special and such an overwhelmingly happy moment. I think it’s one of those moments where you can really “feel” the love!
Favorite reception song: Dancing Queen by ABBA. I am not the best dancer, but by the end of that song, I definitely think I am! 🙂
Favorite wedding gown designer: This is a tough one! I really love so many, I can’t choose one! I have always loved Berta and Vera Wang, and recently I have been loving Carolina Herrera.
Least loved wedding-day trend: Cake in the face photos or monogram everything!
Trend you’d like to see more of: Gender-neutral wedding parties. I also love the idea of incorporating bold colors and florals!
On the weekend you can find me: Definitely spending time with family and friends. I love to try new restaurants and bars, travel, shop, and experience new things. On a more chill day, I love to sleep in, do a little online shopping and spend the rest of the day watching YouTube or Netflix!
Okay – now for some good ole’ fashioned rapid fire:
Favorite cocktail: Gin and Tonic!
Beach or mountains: Love both! But if I had to pick, Beach!
Early bird or night owl: Night Owl.
Sweet or salty: Sweet all the way! Definitely love chocolate way too much.
Dream vacation: Indonesia or Thailand!
Go-to coffee order: Anything Iced! Big coffee drinker. I usually go for a cold brew with oat milk.
Favorite Social Channel: Instagram.
Favorite movie: This is so tough, I really love movies. A movie I could watch over and over again would be The Sound Of Music. I grew up watching it, and it never gets old.
Guilty pleasure: Binge-watching Reality-TV.
Pet peeve: Loud chewing or when people smack/pop their gum!
