We’re so excited to share a more in depth look at Sophie & Jacob’s Aspen wedding weekend from this July. Anytime we get the pleasure of working in Aspen, we feel so lucky to call Colorado home. The feeling is even more intensified when we get to work with our partners over at The Little Nell. This spectacular, luxury five-star hotel in Aspen is such a special place and when our couples choose to get married here – we know they, along with their guests are in for a treat!
Sophie & Jacob kicked off their wedding weekend at the infamous Chuckwagon Grounds at T-Lazy-7 where they welcome friends and family in true Colorado-style. The evening was fulled with delicious BBQ, cigar rolling, live music, s’mores around the campfire and some epic fashion!
The morning of Sophie & Jacob’s wedding was the perfect, calm start to the day that all brides wish for. All her bridesmaids gathered in the bridal for breakfast and hair and makeup. Sophie gifted them all stunning pajamas that were the same material and color as the bridesmaids dresses from Reverly. After hair and makeup was finished, the bridal party boarded the gondola to the top of the mountain to finish final preparations for the wedding – including Sophie getting dressed in her stunning Mira Zwillinger gown.
As the gentlemen made their way up the gondola, they too started final preparations for the ceremony with dapper tuxedos, cuff links and custom jewelry.
Meanwhile, downstairs in the bridal suite, Sophie and her dad shared the sweetest first look as her bridesmaids played Speechless by Dan + Shay on the speakers from upstairs. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room and it was such a special moment.
After a day full of prep – it was finally time for the bride and groom to share their first look before the ceremony on the Aspen Wedding Deck where they would soon share their vows amongst the stunning backdrop in Colorado. They look this time to share private, heartfelt vows with each other before the ceremony.
Guests made their way to the ceremony, and their hometown pastor officiated a meaningful and heartfelt celebration to join Sophie & Jacob as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour where they noshed on bites from the culinary team at The Little Nell, including a raw bar with custom ice sculpture with Sophie & Jacob’s wedding monogram.
One of our favorite parts of The Sundeck at The Little Nell is that it’s a blank canvas and you can really take the couple’s vision and transform the space. Sophie wanted a classic design and to embrace Colorado’s natural beauty along with the white for a classic pure wedding feel and gold to bring warmth and a formal feel (green is also the brides favorite color along with anything and everything GOLD). With the design, she wanted everything to be timeless, classic, and traditional. She wanted to always look back on her wedding day as something that stands through time and never goes out of style.
Sophie’s mom surprised the couple with Alex Harvie, a custom live-wedding painted from New Orleans who took a blanks canvas and slowly started to add in guests from the wedding throughout the night to turn it into a masterpiece that the couple can hang in their home to remember this night years to come. It was such a fun, interactive element and he had guests coming up to him all night to see if they made it into the final piece of artwork!
A huge thank you to our spectacular vendor team who helped bring this day to life:
