We are oh so excited that Malory and Philip tied the knot this past weekend! They are an incredibly sweet couple and we are beyond thrilled that we got to be a part of their special day.
Malory and Philip reached out to us in January of last year wanting a simple Colorado mountain wedding. They wanted their guests to be comfortable, relaxed and for it to be a reflection of them as a couple. Initially they were hoping to plan a 2016 wedding but realized quickly that their favorite venue, Devil’s Thumb Ranch was already booked up so we moved the wedding planning into 2017. They met at the University of Georgia in 2008 and after their first date Malory recalled that she thought Philip was “too short”. They reconnected and have been together since 2009! We instantly connected with their love of the outdoors and that they are rock climbers. They got engaged in Rocky Mountain National Park and it seems only fitting that they had their stunning engagement shoot in Rocky Mountain National Park by Winsome & Wright.
Malory looked absolutely beautiful in her dress, with make up by Alchemy Mineral Blends and hair by Tina Garbe. Their ceremony took place in the beautiful Broad Axe Barn at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. While guest sipped on signature Moscow mules and Old Fashioned’s after the ceremony, the Devil’s Thumb team flipped the room into the perfect reception space.
It’s always a treat to work with Erin and her team at Plum Sage Flowers. As usually they blew us away with all of the beautiful floral décor, which included an incredibly unique floral hoop installation full of beautiful greenery and lush flowers. We loved all of the gold accents spread throughout the wedding and florals, including three tiny gold geometric pieces, which topped their delicious chocolate cake from Tee & Cakes.
Guests dined on a delicious meal prepared by Devil’s Thumb Ranch and enjoyed heartfelt toasts from family members and friends. DJ Jahsonic got the party started and we loved seeing everyone out on the dance floor.
We were thrilled to work with Faith and her husband Nick from Winsome & Wright and we cannot wait to see the scans back from her! The lighting was perfection and we know the Bride and Groom will look absolutely stunning. Until then enjoy some snaps from our iPhones!
