AUTOCAMP – SANTA BARBARA

There is something magically sweet about an Airstream Trailer. Maybe its the sleek design, or maybe its the fact that they make for some Pinterest-worthy photos – either way, we need one! Take a trip to Santa Barbara and rent out an airstrip from Autocamp! From the Autocamp Website: “Designed and built in Santa Barbara by Architect Matthew Hofmann, each Airstream is as unique as the history of its past. Boasting a combined 250 years of age – and surely thousands of miles on the road – our Airstreams are living out a third or fourth life as an Autocamp suite. Each Airstream comfortably sleeps four people and has been renovated locally with sustainable construction methods and materials.”

We’re big lovers of traveling, so any excuse to wrangle up the gals and we are in! What better way to celebrate with your friends than a big road trip on the coast.  Take the Highway One road trip to explore the coast of California. Our suggestion? Rent one of these super fun Vintage Surfari Wagons to really complete the trip! Make sure you map out your stops ahead of time. There is so much to see!

A BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT

On a budget? No problem! For a more wallet-friendly option, throw a backyard shindig and make it a movie night! Set up some themed snacks (salted caramel popcorn, anyone?), add some comfy blankets and pillows, and pop in some rom-coms! Step it up notch and host a small dinner before the movie. A simple white sheet can act as the screen while you play movies on an affordable projector from Amazon.

Happy planning!

Calluna Events takes Sur La Table Cooking Class

We took a break from wedding wonderland last week to spruce up our knife skills in the Sur La Table kitchen, attending “Summer at the Farmers Market” cooking class. We channeled our inner foodie and hunkered down for an exciting two hour, four course meal guided by personable and knowledgable Chef Kate Hegman, a Boulder based chef we’ve had the pleasure of working next to throughout the years. Each course brought different elements, techniques, styles and flavors, all centered around fresh, Farmers Market grown, local ingredients.

This evening class was a peak of our week and we are dying to get the word out. Sur La Table has the best of all worlds – hands on instruction, conscious food selections, a creative environment that fosters learning and laughing (and let’s be honest, eating!) topped off by a I-didn’t-know-I-needed-that-but-it’s-amazing retail shop for every kitchen or hosting need. Welcome to all levels, every cooking stress, fear or question was whisked away by the hospitable staff and we were left with happy hearts  and full tummies.

We love and recommend this class for a multitude of events – team bonding, holiday, parties & bachelorette gatherings to name a few. What’s more, book this class with a group of your people and it turns into a BYOB party! Bonding over sips and stirs sounds pretty perfect. Did we mention the food was delicious?!?

Book your cooking class here & tell em Calluna sent you!
