Boho Wedding with Pops of Rust and a Mix of Fresh + Dried Flowers | Wedding Recap | Emily + Steve

Camp Hale is one of the venue’s in Colorado that is really special. Situated between Leadville and Vail – the remote nature really gives your guests the most stunning views and overall experience and that’s exactly what Emily & Steve wanted to give their families – many of whom were traveling to Colorado from Kansas and Missouri.

We kicked off the weekend with an intimate rehearsal dinner at The Hythe hotel in Vail followed by a big welcome party at Arrabelle Vail! It was the perfect way to welcome all their guests to Vail for the weekend.

When we started designing their wedding, we knew we wanted to keep a lot of the tones and colors earthy but with a summer twist. The color palette of rust tones mixed in with some lighter colors played perfect to the vast landscape of Camp Hale and the beautiful summer season. It all came together beautifully!

At cocktail hour – guests were treated to spicy margaritas and comfy lounge groupings while these “party people” found their seats at a custom designed escort display. Before heading into the tent – Wandering Poppy Co. blew us away with a lush, organic entrance install. Once inside, guests the boho inspired florals were on full display with an amazing dance floor installation that was paired with pops of color in the glassware and napkins to transform the tent.

After dinner, guests took the dance floor to dance all night to the sounds of Manhattan Band before sending the couple off with a sparkler exit!

Vendor Spotlights :: Yonder Floral & Decor House and Eclectic Hive

We love all of the vendors that we work with, especially when they have such an incredible inventory of pretty. We chatted with Eclectic Hive and Gretchen from Yonder Floral & Decor House to hear about their favorite trends for this season and to check out some of their new inventory.

Trends and inventory from Yonder:

“We’re noticing a lot of our brides who are drawn to natural textures and tones in their lounge seating options. Adding in fun fringe or bold velvet pillows takes the design up a notch. We love adding a colorful bohemian style rug under a lounge set with metallic side tables for a complete look. Upscale Boho is our mantra for this year.
NeutralTextures
As for tablewares, we are loving eclectic white plates or our ivory rimmed for a clean palette with a touch of pastel (blush, sage or serenity blue) in the salad plate and a crystal touch on top. Or for those more boho  or rustic style brides, a fun way to bring wood to your table is with our acacia wood chargers and crystal plate collection. That may be on the top of our list for must haves! Throw in a pop of color in your glassware and we love it! For those more classic brides looking for a refined modern twist, we could not be more excited about our matte slate grey collection. Muted grey ceramic plates are so timeless yet a way to upgrade your table.
Glassware
Upgraded tables are another fun trend we’re seeing. Instead of the rustic touch of a farm table, we have a thing for marble like so many brides out there, so we stocked 25 marble and walnut dining tables which tie in the romance and bohemian flair of the marble with the rustic touches of the walnut legs. Save on fancy linens and let the tables and your upgraded tabletop items speak for your design aesthetic. Incorporate beautiful silk runners and you’ve got a home run!”

“Neutral and natural are always in style.

The foundation of so many different looks can be a neutral, natural palette.  Eclectic Hive loves a beautiful base of high-end pieces with personalized accents and enhancements designed specifically for each client.  New to the inventory this year is the natural twig chair, copper bar stools, the leather poe arm chair, grey and white geometric woven jute rug and natural jute stanchion rope.

These pieces pair naturally with a few loved and timeless items to include the leather sling barstool, foucault accent chair and indoor/outdoor woven akoi set.

While these pieces take well to color, they are also completed with simple, raw elements like antlers, tillandsia (air plants) and cacti.  Some favorite textiles for these pieces include kilim, wool and mongolian fur pillows for a southwest flair.”
