Kate + Greg’s wedding from last summer was certainly one of our favorites. Not only because of the sheer beauty this wedding contained but it also had such an amazing down-to-earth organic feel to it. Kate + Greg really honed into what they held near and dear to their heart during the planning process and incorporated that into their special day! Starting with the garden, the two of them built it from the ground up with a little help from their friends. This garden was exploding with the most beautiful flowers including some larger than life sunflowers that were to die for! Every little detail around every little corner was something that Kate + Greg had thought out, and had incorporated on purpose. That alone is always so special, it really makes a wedding day THAT much more special! We are so pleased to have received the real deal photos from Rebecca Caridad of Manzanita Photography. Take a moment and check them out and if you haven’t had enough of this exquisite couple, head over to Kate + Greg’s portfolio! xx, Calluna

The feeling evoked from Erin & Mark’s wedding was one of, “If I were getting married (or married again) this is the type of wedding I’d want to have”. From the brides gown and effortless beauty to the simple and modern table decor and the delicious local, farm-to-table, family-style dinner, the entire evening was just perfect. And even though a torrential rainstorm threatened to dampen the spirits of the day the bride and groom and all the wedding guests remained calm and laid back, waiting out the storm to have the wedding ceremony outside like the bride and groom wished.
The wedding took place at the urban and hip Blanc in Denver’s RiNo District on the 4th of July. Blanc is one of our favorite venues to work at and it didn’t disappoint! Plum Sage Flowers designed lovely green and white florals for the tables with accents of ferns and herbs. The simple white vases from Plum Sage and gold flatware from Yonder House contrasted with the tables and provided the modern design we were going for. Yonder House also provided two lovely seating vignettes which were placed outside underneath the trees to create an intimate seating area.
Blackbelly Catering, owned by Chef Hosea Rosenburg, has been a favorite of ours since they opened three seasons ago. We love working with them and they continue to outdo themselves on food and service! Their food is always locally sourced, locally raised and locally grown. The menu is fresh and reflects what is in season, sometimes ingredients are even picked that day! We consistently hear over and over again how incredible the food is and for couples wanting a true farm-to-table experience where the food is the center of the wedding experience, Blackbelly is the way to go!
Ceremony and cocktail hour music was provided by Chain Station, friends of the bride and groom, and Mark even sung a song during the reception!
And last but not least Erin was made gorgeous that day by Janie Rocek, who did Erin’s hair and make up. Erin’s dress was from Katie May Collection and she purchased it at A & Be Bridal Shop in Denver.
We cannot wait to see the professional photographs from their wedding photographer Jess Elysse of Art of Her Photography but in the meantime here are some of our favorites we snapped with our iPhones.

This past weekend we helped Maggie + Riley tie the knot at the First Presbyterian Church, followed by the loveliest farm reception at Lone Hawk Farm. Maggie, our bride, was absolutely stunning in her dress and her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in their cream colored dresses.
The clouds parted for the happy couple once they said “I do” and the sun shined down on them for the rest of the evening! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our summer wedding season! Everything went seamlessly, and everyone involved couldn’t have been any happier! Blackbelly did an outstanding job on the catering, creating a dinner that was a true farm to table experience. The MooMobile from Sweet Cow even made an appearance. The Calluna staff left the evening with a smile on our faces! We can’t wait to get the photos from Kelly Mulhern – until then, check out our iPhone photos that we snapped throughout the day for a sneak peek. Enjoy! xx, Calluna

What do you get when you combine a fun, adventurous couple, friends and family who adore them, a stunning mountain backdrop, bluebird skies, a private ranch, a multi-coursed meal, great wines, immaculate details and a raucous 80’s band. You get the perfect combination for an outdoor Colorado mountain wedding!
Jenn has been on the periphery of groups of friends for years and she used to work at same mountain biking non-profit as my husband. Jenn may not remember, but she tried to set me up with my now husband a few months before we actually started dating. I met Jenn at a coffee shop after she and Stuart got together and she mentioned that she might be in need of our wedding planning services soon. After hearing they were engaged, I was elated that she had finally found the one. Jenn is someone I’ve always admired. She is hardworking, smart, and very well respected in her line of work. She’s also an uber athlete and has a wonderful eye for design and detail.
It was incredible to see Jenn & Stuart’s vision and hard work come to fruition this past June for their wedding. During the planning they were clear they wanted an outdoor spot where friends and family could enjoy the Colorado they have come to know and love. They settled on Crested Butte, where they had spent many weekends mountain biking; and after a series of site visits settled on a friend of a friends private ranch as the setting. Although the ranch was mostly outdoors and therefore fairly rustic, Jenn’s vision for the style was very clear – she wanted a farm-to-table experience that was modern yet relaxed. Great food, good wine and details down to the homemade bread, Himalayan salt, linen napkins, and full table settings were paramount. They even featured a spiked hot chocolate bar and late night snacks in adorable diner baskets.
Their friends rallied and worked tirelessly for them to help put together hundreds of pots of flowers, to transport rentals and wedding cakes from Boulder and help deliver a vintage airstream trailer for the bridal getting ready area. A friend even designed and printed all their stationery!
The entire weekend, from their rehearsal dinner at Maxwell’s in downtown Crested Butte to their Sunday morning meeting at Camp 4 coffee was a true reflection of Jenn & Stuart. Everyone who attended the wedding got a full experience of who this couple really is and what is most important to them. We are honored to have been a part of their day and hope the wedding was everything they wanted and more! Congratulations Jenn + Stuart!
