We’re always on the look out for trending topics, treasures and tablescapes, but get uber inspired when we get take a break from our screens to get our hands dirty and creativity cranking. We were delighted to attend Perfect Petal’s floral design workshop this past weekend – just in time to start thinking Thanksgiving inspiration.
With an expert demo, fresh florals & great company, we spent our Sunday creating the most beautiful arrangement fit for a regal holiday decoration. Pepper berries, orange roses, thistles and an armful of greenery were the ingredients to our flower recipe. We learned to lean on the side of asymmetry, fill the base with sweeping greens and the most important lesson in artistry – there’s no wrong way to create.
We are so happy to have our gorgeous centerpieces grace our dinner tables and are sure it will be the cherry on top of our festive decor. We hope this sparks inspiration for you to try your green thumb at home and curate your own arrangement! If the DIY style doesn’t suit you, we suggest the beautiful, autumn infused “Chestnut Hills” from the flower shop as your major holiday wow factor.
Thank you to the ladies of Perfect Petal for having us – we had a ball! xx, Calluna
When Kat + Nick came to us they had a vision of what they wanted their special day to look like. They had sought inspiration from a tie that Kat had found during her travels in Turkey. Which she of course purchased and that Nick wore during their wedding.
When she came to us we were happy to help the bride evolve her vision and turn it into a reality! Our goal was to transform Kat + Nick’s wedding into a enchanted forest. We pointed the couple to some of the best vendors we knew that would help curate such a vision!
Magically it all came to life and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Take a moment to glance over the wonderful photos that Dawn Sparks captured and if you want to see more of this whimsical fairytale wedding check out Kat + Nick on our portfolio!

Ahh mock ups… as wedding planners, we absolutely LOVE seeing a “mock up” of the florals and tablescapes for our weddings before the big day and can offer a couple of tips before singing that floral contract.
Mock ups are a great way to get a real “sneak peek” of what your table will look like. It allows for an opportunity to critique the flowers, change around anything you aren’t crazy about, and make sure your vision is property translated to the table.
Not all florists offer this service, but it is a great thing to ask about before signing a contract with your desired florist. We LOVE the Perfect Petal in Denver for a number of reasons, but take a peek at this stunning mock up the fabulous Kitzel Ruth created for our July bride yesterday. Peonies have arrived!!!
Coming off of a busy wedding weekend, we just had to take moment to recap (via Instagram) a dashing Denver Art Museum modern wedding. Erin + Dash are a true picture perfect couple and the details of their wedding day will forever be some of our faves. Here is an Instagram / Vscocam sneak peek of their beautiful bash. More to come soon!
