A Picturesque Rocky Mountain Wedding for S+H

Sam and Haden’s wedding day was a true celebration of love, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains at Devil’s Thumb Ranch, one of our favorite Colorado wedding venues. Aside from a quick afternoon shower, the weather was perfect, with the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the rugged peaks, creating a magical atmosphere. 

The ceremony took place in a picturesque meadow, with the iconic Devils Thumb Ranch horses in the background. Their presence symbolized the untamed, free spirit of love that Sam & Haden share. A ground garden of fresh florals designed by Amy Lauren Floral design adorned with meadow as they exchanged their vows.

 After the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour, full of local fair and a delicious cocktail before heading into the reception space that was was transformed into a warm and inviting haven, with fairy lights draped across the rafters and tables adorned with centerpieces of white and yellow flowers with a hint of blue and candles.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a delicious feast that showcased the flavors of the region, with locally-sourced ingredients and artisanal dishes. The celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, lively dancing, some fun late-night props and a nod to the bride’s favorite treat – ice cream sandwiches and cannoli’s – representative of their lives on the East Coast!
