Enjoy the Moment
Getting engaged is such an exciting moment—something so many of us dream about. It marks the beginning of a brand new chapter and a beautiful commitment to the future you’ll build together. While it’s tempting to immediately share the news on Instagram and jump into celebrating, take a little time to simply soak it all in with your future spouse. Spend a day or two relaxing, unwinding, and enjoying this milestone just the two of you before the world joins in. These are moments you’ll never get back—savor them!! Then, when you’re ready, post that long-awaited photo and pop the bubbly, of course.

Insure Your Bling
Your ring is likely a meaningful investment, and having it insured will give you both real peace of mind. Before heading off on trips or showing it off to the world, take a moment to contact your homeowners or renters insurance provider to add it to your policy. This is also the perfect time to have your band resized if needed—so it fits comfortably and securely for all the celebrations ahead!

Hire a Wedding Planner
While we may be a bit biased, wedding planning should feel joyful and exciting—not stressful. Yes, parts of the process can be overwhelming, but that’s exactly why we’re here! Before you book a venue or fall in love with the perfect florist, it’s so important to have an experienced guide by your side. Planning a wedding is incredibly time-consuming (it is our full-time job, after all!), and with 500+ hours going into most events, chances are that kind of time just doesn’t fit into your already busy life.
The last thing you want is to wake up three months before your wedding and realize you forgot to budget for things like additional lighting or power for the band.. those practical details that are easy to overlook. We’re here to handle all of that, so you can stay truly present, enjoy your engagement, and focus on this exciting new chapter with your partner.

Practical Before Pretty
We know—the practical stuff isn’t nearly as fun as talking flowers and table linens, but there are a few important pieces to iron out first! We always recommend starting with the guest list and the budget, arguably the two most important foundations of your wedding. Even the most beautiful venue won’t feel right if it can’t accommodate everyone you want by your side, or if booking it means you can no longer afford to invite the people who matter most.
Next up: the budget. Everyone has a number that will make them gasp—trust us! Having a clear understanding from the beginning of who is contributing and what everything will realistically cost will make the entire planning process so much smoother and far less stressful.
