Our interview with co-founder, Elizabeth ::
How did your company start, how has it evolved? SWEET began when Matthew (an illustrator) and myself (a graphic designer) designed and created our own wedding invitation back in 2006. Now, we make letterpress stationery for all of life’s sweetest moments, especially weddings. We strive to preserve thoughtful correspondence with letterpress invitations, greeting cards, note cards and gifts. Our paper goods are carefully crafted in Boulder, Colorado using only high quality, eco friendly materials.
Your wedding invitations set the tone for the biggest day of your life and we believe they should be as beautiful as your romance. And call us crazy, but we think the process should be authentic, memorable and even fun. We craft each wedding invitation with great care, as if it were our own. Getting to know our couples and learning about the unique details of each wedding is the best part of our job.
What does “Modern Marie” mean to you? To me, Modern Marie is elegant yet edgy – over-the-top antique flourish with clean modern typography. Airy pastels with grounding neutrals. Corsets and feathers with funky platforms and glitter.
What is your relationship with Calluna? Over the years, we’ve worked with many of Calluna’s amazing couples to make their invitation dreams a reality. We look forward to many more years of collaboration with Calluna Events! Congrats, ladies!
