This past weekend we were so busy at Calluna Events that we didn’t have time to post the anniversary of one of our favorite couples. Lisa & Cam held their Colorado Mountain wedding at Gold Lake Resort & Spa last June and Calluna Events was lucky enough to be their wedding planner. Photo compliments of Ashley Davis Photography.

Lisa and Cam were such a fun couple to work with. They met in Las Vegas where Lisa was celebrating a friend’s birthday and Cam was celebrating his best friend’s bachelor party. The two ended up on the dance floor at the same time and as they say, the rest is history.
Both were living in different states at the time so a long distance relationship ensued. Their first “real” date was actually in Paris! Lisa and Cam love to travel and spent most of their courtship in different states and countries. How fun!

Lisa and Cam decided to have their wedding at the Gold Lake Resort & Spa so that all of their friends and family could stay in one place. Gold Lake is a beautiful resort off of the Peak to Peak Highway outside of Ward, CO. When you have your wedding there you are required to reserve all of the cabins for the weekend. This ensures that the resort is completely yours and very private. The ceremony site overlooks a large lake with a stunning mountain background. A true Colorado wedding!

The ceremony took place by the side of the lake with the Continental Divide in the background. The location was breathtaking and the weather couldn’t’t have been better. Friends played the couples’ favorite Coldplay song “Yellow” acoustically during the ceremony and it was a lovely touch.

The wedding cake was made by Shamane’s Bakeshope a Boulder Colorado baker and was made to resemble the brides wedding dress. The wedding flowers were done by Sturtz & Copeland.

Lisa surprised Cam with a bagpiper who cam in half way through their first dance song, The Mull of Kintyre by Paul McCartney & Wings.

After the ceremony, the wedding guests walked to the cocktail reception which took place outdoors next to the reception tent. The guest tables were named after places the couple had travelled together. What a great table number idea!

Favors were toothbrushes…a nod to Lisa’ being a Dentist and owner of Comfort Dental in Boulder. The entire evening was perfect!
