Gabriele Sarbaugh (Lead Curator & Stylist), a native of Boulder, Colorado joined Calluna Events in 2007 as an intern, using the opportunity to nurture her excitement and interest in event and wedding planning while completing college requirements. During her growth with Calluna Events, Gabbie has mastered the use of her innate sense of organization and attention to detail to be able to realize the potential of every wedding and event. Gabbie loves the challenge and complexity of adapting the planning process to each event, and bringing all the detailed pieces together. And she loves getting to know each of her clients and being a part of their special day.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
My favorite part of the wedding day is when the bride meets her groom at the end of the aisle. Its such a magical moment, and you can almost see all of the anticipation relaxing into the surrounding love, joy, beauty and fun of the day.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I am the epitome of a morning person. I like to get up early, go to bed early and am typically most productive in the earlier hours of the day – it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for a bride to receive an email from me at 6am 🙂 Since most weddings continue later into the night, I thrive off the spirit of each to keep me motivated, focused and energized throughout the entire day!
 What wedding trends are you loving this season?
I’m a sucker for a rustic chic wedding! I love the basics –  long wooden tables, “just-picked” florals, twinkle lights, mason jars, AND the limitless possibilities for customization with this trend. This look is the perfect compliment to so many of Colorado’s outdoor venues while allowing for couples to incorporate their own style and add personal touches.

Steady, Loyal, Organized
 What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
The techaholic in me says my iphone – it’s my life line during events, it keeps me organized, productive, and entertained on the go, and even acts as my running companion.
 What is your favorite thing to do?
Run! Especially in the quiet of the early morning. It clears my head, and gets me ready for the day ahead.
 What is one piece of clothing everyone should own?
A dark/black pair of skinny jeans – it’s such a versatile wardrobe staple that can be styled to match any mood or occasion.
