Every year, we love to share our highlights and accomplishments with our supporters and readers. 2014 was our most successful year to date and we at Calluna Events are excited to share our incredible highlights with you! We are absolutely thrilled to say we have more events on the books than ever before going into the New Year, we can’t wait for what’s in store for 2015!
2014 marked our 11th year in business and our 10th anniversary! Read about the past decade at Calluna Events here! We celebrated in styled by throwing an over-the-top bash to celebrate in March of this year at Blanc. The same day as our party we planned a Modern Marie styled shoot.
Our Work:
- We planned nearly 75 events. These included weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties (including a 60th), a Bar Mitzvah, a bridal shower, a celebration of life event, a food-truck rally and sustainable food summit, a non profit Gala and a Breast Cancer Event, a corporate summer office party, a modern lounge at a national yoga event, an event for Johnson & Johnson, an open house event, a Christmas Eve wedding, a couple holiday parties and last but not least our own 10th anniversary bash!
- We planned weddings & events at private residences, at 10,000 feet in Colorado, on working farms, mountain ranches, 5-star restaurants, hotel ballrooms, mountain tops in Vail and Aspen, historic homes, an art gallery and many other wedding venues!
- We planned weddings & events in Aspen, Beaver Creek, Vail, Boulder, Denver, Lyons, Breckenridge, Avon, Estes Park, Winter Park, Tabernash, Keystone, Crested Butte, Bailey, Evergreen, and Lyons, Colorado this year.
- We planned a gay wedding and are looking forward to helping many more gay couples tie the knot in Colorado.
- We had the opportunity to work with many new and talented vendors, as well as old friends in the Colorado wedding industry such as photographers, floral designers, bakers and cinematographers and continued to expand our knowledge and relationships with vendor partners to ensure we are providing the best vendor recommendations for our brides.
- We hosted the largest private event ever on the Chautauqua Green, underneath the stunning Flatirons.
- We coordinated a styled shoot at the St. Julien which will be featured in the spring issue of Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine.
The Applause:
- We received the Knot Best of Weddings for the 6th year in a row, making it into the Hall of Fame.
- We were selected to be a COUTUREColorado LIST Member once again.
- We were selected to be a part of the Collective at Grey Likes Weddings
- We are once again a Little Black Book Member of Style Me Pretty.
- We became part of the Once Wed Vendor Guide.
- We continued as a member of the Green Bride Guide, the most comprehensive and credible green wedding resource online.
- We were selected to be a part of the Blue Label list on RuffledBlog.com
- We continued to be listed as a preferred wedding planner at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa, Devil’s Thumb Ranch, ICONIC Weddings, Beaver Creek Mountain Resorts, Vail Resorts, Keystone Resorts, The Kitchen Restaurants, Stanley Hotel, Della Terra Mountain Chateau, The Hotel Boulderado, and more!

- We were thrilled to have Maris & Tyler’s wedding featured in Style Me Pretty.
- Our studio remodel was featured in 5280 Magazine showcasing the talents and our collaboration with Mile High Style. The studio remodel was also featured in Boulder Lifestyle Magazine.
- We also were interviewed and had weddings and articles featured in WeddingLovely.com, the Knot Colorado magazine, and many more blogs.
- Erin & Dash’s wedding was featured in the fall 2014 issue of The Knot Colorado.
- We published an article on Once Wed about “Should I Change my Last Name”
- We were featured on Jennifer Egbert Real Estate’s blog about holiday party planning tips.
- One of our weddings was featured in the new-this-year Devil’s Thumb Ranch Magazine and we continue to be one of their preferred planners.
- We talked about holiday party planning tips in an article in Boulder Lifestyle Magazine.
- Lauren & Brad’s wedding made the front page of the New York Times Sunday Styles section.
- Boulder Wine Merchant profiled us on their blog as the planner for the 4th Annual Boulder Burgundy Festival and here.
- A cake from one of our weddings was featured in the Huffington Post article on Top Trends for 2015.
- One of our past couples, Molly & Sammy’s wedding was featured in the inaugural pages of the gorgeous print magazine WED.
- We were interviewed for this Denver Post article on off-season weddings.
- We attended many industry events and networking opportunities to broaden our knowledge of the industry and meet new vendors.
