This week for Calluna Community, we caught up with Cate of the Little White Dress Bridal Shop!

Describe what you do!
I am the founder and owner of Little White Dress Bridal Shop. We are just starting our 11th year in business, and I am actively involved with our amazing designers, staff, and brides. Along with my management team, I am one of the decision makers regarding all our day-to-day operations and our intentions to always provide exceptional service, selection, and experience to our valued customers.
What is your idea of a dream project?
Designing the build-out and décor of our current location here at 31st & Lawrence in the RiNo/Curtis Park neighborhood with my daughter was a really fun and special project. It’s such a unique and historical building, and we wanted our additions to be subtle and stunning at the same time to compliment the grandeur of the building’s architecture.
What has been your favorite wedding that you have worked, or attended?
Helping to plan my daughter’s wedding in Beaver Creek on 10/4/14 was such a joy. The setting, ceremony, the bride and groom and their vows were all so special and beautiful.
What does your morning routine look like?
Cuddle time with my two cats, some stretching, walking outside, spiritual/motivational studies, and counting my blessings and setting my positive intention for the day.
What are some of your favorite trends that you are seeing?
3-D lace appliques on gowns and veils, sleeves, and anything that is quality/creative/fresh/unique.
What advice would you give to a younger you?
Never compromise your goodness, values, or assets. Always value and protect your emotional, physical, and financial health.
What makes you excited to go to work in the morning?
My strong desire to make a positive contribution to all our efforts and work here at LWD.
What is your favorite cocktail, or what are you drinking tonight?
I’m always trying to drink more water, but I LOVE prosecco, white sangria, and fruit infused vodka drinks.
