Tell us a little more about yourself and your business?
After being in the hospitality and event space for 18 years, and having my planning business for 10, I have been a part of hundreds of weddings and events, so it is especially exciting to create a new branch to our company. Bespoke byBello provides luxury table top rentals and concierge level sourcing for wedding planners, designers, and everyday hosts wanting to enhance a memorable gathering. From speciality china to tabletop decor, our items will never compromise form or function — and stand alone as art.
How was Bespoke by Bello born?
We’ve always loved the design process and love to incorporate layers of design into our events, but we were finding there was a hole in the marketplace here and having a hard time finding unique and design forward pieces to incorporate into our events. One of our clients decided she wanted to purchase china to create the desired aesthetic she wanted for her wedding and offered to sell it to me afterwards for a great deal. I recognized the need and decided someone needed to bring these pieces to the Colorado / Mountain West market, it might as well be me!
Can you give us a little insight into your design process?
We’ve modeled our design process for Bespoke very similarly to how we structure our design process for events by Bello. We begin with a mood board and then create a proposal to illustrate a variety of dishware, flatware, and stemware combinations to show unique pairings of texture, pattern and color to add interest to the table. It’s so fun to see how different designers like to work through the process and how one piece can be incorporated into so many different designs.
How do you feel that Bespoke table top elevates a couple’s wedding design?
Table top rentals are another design detail that can really add personality and style to the event space and overall dining experience. A beautiful place setting makes guests feel special, and can highlight the entire tablescape and centerpieces through shapes, colors, materials and patterns.
What has been the most rewarding part of launching this portion of your business? Most challenging?
It’s so exciting to create something that is applicable to our events, and now we also get to collaborate with our planner friends and designers and play a small part in the celebrations they are creating. Plus we get to shop for all the beautiful things and introduce them to our marketplace for the first time. The most challenging part has been establishing new processes and learning this new aspect of the business, and space! We have a warehouse in Wheatridge, but we are quickly filling our space with our beautiful collections.
What trends are you seeing right now that you love?
We love pattern play and color! We’re also seeing a true garden aesthetic that is beautiful and timeless.
Where do you get inspiration?
Everywhere! Specifically, fashion, travel, and interior design. I always say if I wasn’t a wedding planner, I’d be an interior designer. I have a thing for wallpaper, textiles and art. The fun textures and patterns we are introducing into our tabletop collections is really filling my cup!
What’s the best advice you’d tell your younger self?
Work hard, play hard, and stay true to yourself. It’s all going to work out 🙂
Give us a glimpse into your life outside of work?
I live in Littleton with my husband and Goldendoodle Charlie. We love to travel, be outside, and stay active taking long walks, skiing, playing golf and pickleball, and always love sampling great restaurants.
Finally – what are you drinking tonight?
Poppi’s are my new favorite beverage! It’s like a healthy version of a soda and it feels like a treat. Orange is my favorite.
