CURED, not just a cheese shop! A unique event venue in Boulder!

I recently helped my friends Pete & Sally plan Sally’s 40th birthday party at Cured in Boulder. Cured is a small shop focused on preserving a personal connection to food. They offer a delightful selection of cheeses, cured meats, table wines, and other unique grocery items. The owners, Will & Coral are personal friends and I love that they are now sharing their passion for great food, Euro style, with the Boulder Community!

Sally’s party was the second private event at Cured so it was fun for me to see the place come alive as well as see (and eat!) the yummy foods Will & Coral came up with. They focus on simple food – small bites, chunks of cheeses on wood blocks, piles of sliced meats, seasoned nuts and olives and local unique items that are all carefully hand chosen. They have a private label red & white wine, both are delicious as well as a well rounded selection of wines, beers and spirits. For our event they even prepared a wonderful seasonal pumpkin soup. I don’t know about you but I love simple foods, especially really good cheese & bread!

Cured is the perfect spot for a birthday party, small gathering. It would be an out of the box idea for an intimate rehearsal dinner where the focus would be on small plates and mingling rather than sitting at tables and heavy courses. And Cured can prepare platters for your next in home party too!
