So you got engaged over the holidays, you’ve set the date, and now you’re ready to start thinking about sending out your Save-the-Dates. If you’ve got the time and are hoping to save a bit of money on this end of things, we at Calluna Events dug up a few cute DIY Save-the Date ideas.
From Style Me Pretty, we found these great luggage tag inspired Save-the Dates (see photo above). They’re super easy to make, and fun to receive.
But maybe you’re hoping to save on paper, and enjoy video editing. If this sounds like you — or your fiance(e) — then this idea might be perfect for you. Video save-the-dates are becoming more and more popular. They help you keep your wedding ‘green,’ and they add a very personal element to your invitation. I find this one from Green Wedding Shoes incredibly romantic and creative.
Lastly, this Save-the-Date is a favorite. It’s perfect if you’re planning on having a vintage-inspired wedding, and I love the instructions for ‘how to tie a knot’ that are included:

If, however, you’re looking for something a bit more traditional, below are links to a few of Calluna Events favorite places for stationary and printed materials.

Wow, I like the video idea!!! I’ve been searching for some fun and creative ideas for a save the date. We are thinking of doing a caricature from giveacaricature.com which looks super fun but we have not fully decided on “what” to send out yet (magnet, postcard, video now, etc) Anyways, thanks for sharing!
Great idea. I am thinking of some great marketing ideas for wedding vendors as well.
Love the “tie the knot” save the date idea. Guaranteed to raise a smile with the recipients.
