Every time a fellow member of the wedding community chooses Calluna Events to assist with their wedding we are humbled! We had the pleasure of working with the oh-so-talented Lana of Lana’s Shop at Julie and Paul’s wedding in 2012. At the time, Lana was living in San Francisco and her then boyfriend (now hubby) was here in Denver. After Lana made the move to Denver, we had the opportunity to collaborate with her on the weddings of so many Calluna couples as well as our own projects – including our Modern Marie Anniversary bash!
It gave us such joy to see such a wonderful woman marrying a wonderful man – the two were bursting with excitement the entire day (to the point where sweet Lana lost her voice by noon!). Both wildly successful entrepreneurs (Danny is the founders of the outdoor shopping space Active Junky), Lana and Danny had so much love to give (and receive) on their wedding day. In a summer full of rain showers and weather “plan b”‘s, the sun beamed down, almost smiling on us, throughout the set up and into the ceremony. Is was so obvious that the universe couldn’t find a better match if it tried – Danny and Lana were it.
To boot, we were so excited to see the transformative River Bend from our initial site visit. We praised Lana and her ability to look past the not so glamorous state of things a few months ago and her ability to trust us (and the lovely River Bend staff) to create the vision she had in mind for her wedding day. The property was stunning, the food delicious, the weather warm, and the festive crowd danced the night away.
If that’s not a successful wedding, we don’t know what is. We love you, Lanz and Danz.
