We have a special place in our hearts for Lauren + Tom, a lovely couple who wed at the High Lonesome Lodge at Devil’s Thumb Ranch late last summer. When the storm clouds came minutes before the ceremony, Lauren + Tom made the calm and delicate decision to move it inside, trusting us through each step of the way. Just as the couple sealed the ceremony with a kiss, the sun came out and their family and friends celebrated in the gorgeous Colorado sunset. We loved Lauren’s tenacity to plan a wedding while engaged in intense academia. We loved Tom’s goofiness throughout the night – making his genuine and compelling reaction at the first look so romantic and truthful. We loved the strong sense of family this couple brought to the wedding. When Lauren’s brother heartbreakingly couldn’t attend due to active duty, friends and family Skyped him in during the ceremony and played a recorded speech during the reception There was even a paper cut out of him that people loved!
It was very evident how much Tom loved Lauren and Lauren loved Tom. We were honored to be part of one of the biggest days in their lives, in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado.
