There is nothing like Colorado mountains in the fall. The aspens are glowing yellow and it looks like the mountainside is on fire. This is the perfect setting for a wedding. On top of that add in the stunning backdrop of Beaver Creek, Colorado and you have the exact combination for a stunning fall wedding. This fall, we were lucky enough to help Siobhan and Dan walk down the aisle at the Beaver Creek Chapel followed by a celebration of their nuptials at the luxurious Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch.

Siobhan got in touch with Calluna Events at the end of last year, saying she was going to be travelling a lot for work and would need help with her wedding while she was in and out of town. Siobhan and Dan are both geologists and work on-site a lot. Last summer Siobhan spent a great deal of time in Alaska and we touched base on her wedding plans long distance.

Right off the bat I had a connection with Siobhan. I actually have a B.S. in Geology. Geology was my first love, before event planning. I too spent time in Alaska (during college) to study geology. And when we met in person it was hard not to like her. Siobhan’s personality is contagious. She has an incredible smile and laugh that puts anyone at ease and makes you feel like you are old friends. In fact, she was that way the entire planning process and on the day of her wedding. Incredibly laid back, gracious and kind. Siobhan was a lovely bride and we were honored to help she and Dan get married.

We love working in Beaver Creek. It’s one of our favorite places to plan a wedding in Colorado. Especially in the fall. And we love the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch…any time of year. We were lucky to work with very talented wedding vendors. Enjoy the photos from wedding photographer, Megan Newton Photography. Flowers by Plum Sage Flowers. Reception band Swing Essence.
