Evelyn + Josh’s summer soiree wedding is sure to make any hopeless romantic swoon. With design notes inspired by delicate, refined and feminine accents, the Denver Botanic Gardens was the only choice for a celebration of 80 guests on a sunny day in June.

We embraced each corner of the grounds to create “roaming” garden party vibes, finding beauty and purpose in our surroundings and a space that was so important to the nearly newlyweds. With a glass of sparkling in hand, stylish guests pursued the property before settling in to watch E + J share their forever vows in the iconic Romantic Gardens, flanked by lush foliage accented by blooming arrangements. Using the garden and it’s seasonal blooms as our compass, primary petal design by Figment Floral was strategically bloom forward yet intentional, playing with the negative space in a way that has come so naturally into trend this year.

Once the party meandered over to the Orangery greenhouse for cocktails and dinner, the theme continued through playful combinations of uniquely cut china glassware and swoon-worthy floral linens – nodding to classic touches without dipping into trite or tradition. The result? A fresh, curated and memorable celebration for two very special people lifted in love and warmth of their closest friends. The festivities finished in the third and final stop of the evening with the beats of The Get Down Co in Marnie’s Pavilion, lending to the distinctive path of this urban garden wedding.

Why We Love Boulder Flower Farm: This 10 acre flower farm just ten minutes from Boulder is a gem! “Serene with beautiful trees, manicured lawns, gorgeous flower farm, and lovely accommodations if guests would like to stay on property, it’s everything you can dream of for your celebration.” We loved planning two weddings at Boulder Flower Farm last year celebrating Cate + Kyle and Ela + John!

Why We Love Frasca: Frasca is the best of the best. Why We Love The Kitchen: A long time favorite of the Calluna Team, The Kitchen is the perfect spot for an intimate wedding. Delicious food and fabulous design makes this venue one of our favorites for a restaurant wedding! Lauren + Jeremy had the best venue combo for their wedding day, saying yes to their forever at St. Julien and dining at The Kitchen for their reception!

Planet Bluegrass (500 W. Main St, Lyons, CO)
Why We Love Planet Bluegrass: This venue is truly a dream come true for our nature-loving couples! Last year we celebrated Taylor + Christian as they said I do underneath the lush cottonwoods surrounded by redstone cliffs with the gentle acoustics of the St. Vrain River bringing all the beauty of nature to their lovely celebration!

River Bend (501 W. Main St, Lyons, CO)
Why We Love River Bend: You simply cannot go wrong with a naturally gorgeous venue like River Bend, and we are totally big fans. “River Bend is a large property right on the banks of the St. Vrain River under towering, dramatic redstone cliffs. Why We Love The St. Vrain: This venue is trendy with industrial charm, brick walls, and wooden ceiling trusses that is perfect for any couple looking to make the space their own. Why We Love The Manor House: Sitting pretty on the hill with stunning views of Denver, The Manor House is truly magical! You can really create your own dream world for your celebration with the blank canvas that it offers, just as we did for Emily + Ryan’s wedding last year!

REAL WEDDING RECAP | Sophia + Tommy

Sophia came to Calluna in May when we were in the middle of our complimentary COVID Consulting calls. We spent a couple sessions with Sophia helping her figure out her next steps and if her originally planned wedding could happen. We developed such a great relationship with Sophia that she ended up hiring us to help her with her August wedding to Tommy. Surrounded by family and a few friends they were wed on their original date at a church in downtown Denver and then guests joined them for a cocktail reception at The Cooper Lounge at Union Station and then dinner at Avelina. The day was filled with modern sophistication and simple but elegant touches – such as in the florals from Lale Florals and her Alexandra Grecco wedding gown! Sophia + Tommy’s mid-summer wedding was more proof that in the midst of a pandemic, love is not cancelled!

Wedding season is in full force and this past weekend we had three amazing celebrations! We adored our #callunacouple Liz + Joey, and we wanted to share some highlights from their fabulous Denver wedding!

Erin + Mark’s Urban Downtown Wedding

It is our pleasure to share with you the photos from Erin + Mark’s urban downtown wedding at Blanc. This beautiful celebration was held on the Fourth of July last year and despite the torrential rainstorm that threatened to dampen the spirits of the day, the bride and groom and all the wedding guests still managed to have an amazing time! Erin + Mark tied the knot with the iconic industrial backdrop of Denver and proceeded to have a joyful evening filled with a delicious farm-to-table dinner and endless amounts of love and laughter! Sarah & Todd’s Botanical Inspired Denver Wedding – Happy Anniversary

Three years ago today Sarah & Todd Leopold were married in a lovely ceremony on a spring day in Denver. Not only do we want to wish them a happy third anniversary, we want to take a walk down memory lane of one of our all time favorite couples and weddings. Sarah and Todd are the nicest people and we loved helping them incorporate the things in their world that were meaningful to them in a truly authentic way. Todd is the owner of Leopold Bros, a small batch distiller of fine spirits in Denver Colorado. Because of Todd’s background in the cocktail world and because of he and Sarah’s passion for botanicals and fine food and cocktails we set out to create a wedding that incorporated all of these items into their day. From the botanical inspired invitation suite and paper goods from the ultra talented Lanas Shop, the wedding flowers which featured unique blooms and a hand picked aesthetic from Plum Sage Flowers and the hand crafted cocktails (of course) and the farm fresh, locally inspired menu from Blackbelly Catering. And of course the beautiful photography from Apples and Oranges Photography.

Katy + Zach’s Stunning Denver Wedding

We thought we would start everyone’s morning off the right way, with Katy + Zach’s wedding. We just got their wedding photos back from the ever so talented James Christianson, and we cannot get over how stunning this wedding was! Everything from the over the top decor to the cascading floral arrangements was completely and utterly fabulous. At this wedding, everywhere you looked was dripping in beauty! Caitlin + Doug’s Urban Denver Wedding

Caitlin + Doug are celebrating their one year anniversary today! We can’t believe how quickly a year flew by! Looking back on their amazing Denver wedding makes us wish we could relive that day over and over again!

Caitlin and Doug had their ceremony at the Four Seasons in Denver which was absolutely magical! LMD Productions had string lights and draping throughout, making you feel like you were in another world! Then we moved the reception to one of our personal favorites, The Kitchen in Denver! We love this venue especially for weddings that are looking for that family intimate feel! The whole look was pulled together by the one and only Fiori Flowers! They completely outdid themselves with all the gorgeous flowers.

It certainly was a wedding for the books and we are so grateful that Tess Pace captured this day so perfectly! Take a moment to marvel at how lovely this wedding was! xx, Calluna
