Wedding Recap | Paula + Russ

We met Paula and Russ just months prior to their intimate July mountain celebration. In an abundance of pandemic precaution, they came to Calluna after having made the difficult decision to reimagine their previously planned 300-person Colombian wedding. We bonded deeply with Paula from our first conversation – frequently finishing each others thoughts and excitedly planning what would become an upscale 50 person fete in just over 5 months.

There are so many favorite memories from this day; the floral-lined steps of Beaver Creek Chapel, the several odes to their parents marriages through thoughtful touches like reimagining their wedding cake or surprising them with their first dance song. Maybe it was the incredibly chic attire from every.single.person.in.attendance (possibly best dressed after the bride was her mother’s stunning mauve number!!). The bilingual ceremony performed paying homage to the Bride’s Colombian roots and family abroad that was celebrating in spirit. A personal favorite and pinch-me moment –– the ten-piece orchestra hand picked and produced by Once Entertainment to set the stage (literally) to a once in a lifetime dinner party filled with custom composed pieces that guests enjoyed all evening long.

Our incredible team of skilled vendors allowed for speedy planning and flawless execution – never once sacrificing the vision or the pristine polish of the day. Paula’s effortless style echoed throughout each detail, always understated but incredibly impactful. Matched with the kindest heart and most generous spirit, it’s no wonder starts aligned for this magical evening to come to fruition so beautifully. We just wish there were more days like this!
