Some weddings are beautiful. Others tell a story.
It was an incredible honor to help Eris and Mark tell their story through their wedding weekend in Aspen. From the very beginning, every decision they made was filled with intention, symbolism, and meaning. Their celebration wasn’t simply a beautiful wedding- it was a reflection of their families, their cultures, and the life they are building together.
The weekend kicked off in style in the gorgeous Hidalgo room at W Aspen, where a combined welcome party and birthday celebration for Eris set a festive tone. Guests gathered to toast the bride, enjoy great bites, dance, and celebrate the unforgettable weekend to come, as they enjoyed the lively space before transitioning into the big day ahead.
From there, the weekend continued with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, creating a meaningful moment for Eris and Mark to honor their families, heritage, and the generations who came before them. It was a beautiful way to begin a wedding weekend centered around bringing two families together.
As guests arrived for the wedding day, they were welcomed with the Chinese symbol for Double Happiness (囍), a traditional symbol representing joy, love, and the union of two families. It was just one of the many thoughtful details woven throughout the celebration.
From there, guests made their way up Aspen Mountain to The Little Nell, where the setting provided a spectacular backdrop for the couple’s celebration. With the mountains surrounding them, the wedding felt distinctly Aspen while still being deeply personal to Eris and Mark.
Every element of the day was chosen with intention. The florals, music, menu, stationery, and personal details weren’t simply beautiful additions—they each reflected something meaningful to the couple and their families. The result was a celebration that felt layered, personal, and unmistakably theirs.
From Spinphony performing during the ceremony and cocktail hour to the energy of the reception with DJ Tasos Hernandez and cold sparks, every moment of the day was thoughtfully designed to create an experience for their guests. Their stationery and day-of paper incorporated meaningful details, while the florals complemented the natural beauty of Aspen Mountain without competing with the landscape.
Even the details surrounding the weekend, from a special birthday cake at W Aspen to Eris’s getting-ready look and wedding gown, felt personal and intentional.
What made this wedding so special wasn’t simply how beautiful it was. It was how meaningful it was.
Eris and Mark created a wedding weekend that celebrated where they came from, the people they love, and the future they are creating together. Every detail had a purpose, every moment felt considered, and the entire weekend told a story that was uniquely theirs.
