If you haven’t noticed, food trucks have been taking Colorado by storm – and we are taking note. We are seeing them in backyard barbecues, parking lot parties, intimate farm weddings, and scattered among street corners. We love the concept of fast and easy eats on the go without having to sacrifice quality or service – all while supporting our local community. Win, win win.
We hit the streets this last week to find our faves – outlined below. But don’t take our word for it, get out there yourself! If you’re unsure where to start, we love Food Trucks in Boulder, Food Truck Row & Roaming Hunger: food truck guides to satisfy every last one of your cravings. Cheers!

Are you in need of a fun alternative food truck? Check out the Fire Truck Crepes. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this new gem recently while attending The Big Wonderful in downtown Denver. The Fire Truck Crepes was started by two amazing people who have worked in EMS and fire fighting for a combined total of 30 years! The Fire Truck really sets the stage for the passion that is shared amongst its owners.
Beside that – the crepes that they serve are absolutely to die for. They have several different types of mouth watering savory and sweet crepes. Fitting for any event because who doesn’t love both a satisfying meal as well as a sweet treat after?! When we went there we had the opportunity to try both and we can attest we left happy, full, and satisfied. And the best part, we got to explore the back of the Fire Truck and wear a fire fighter helmet. We felt like the real deal for a moment! If you have a chance go check out what the Fire Truck Crepes has to offer and see if they would fit into your event that you are planning!
Want to spice things up a little bit? Check out Tacos Del Norte! This fabulous truck can be found every Wednesday at the Boulder Farmers Market and at other locations around Boulder. Started by a Mexico native, Tacos Del Norte brings some culinary diversity to the Boulder area with dishes like al pastor tacos & carnitas burritos.
A taco truck would be the perfect late night snack at any event or wedding. Your guests would be overjoyed to get a flavorful surprise of fresh Mexican cuisine! Each time we have tried these fabulous bites its like a fiesta in my mouth! Their meats are incredibly fresh and tender which are accompanied by delicious sides of avocado and salsas. You won’t be disappointed whether you try these on a night at the farmar or hire this fantastic truck for an event!
Remember the days of “you scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream”? Well that intangible, feel it in your toes, pure & innocent joy of seeing the ice cream truck doesn’t have to stop now that you’re all grown up. In fact, this ice cream truck 2.0 is (dare we say it) even better than the singing wagon of your childhood!
Sweet Cow Ice Cream is a community favorite and using local ingredients in their truck. They have three killer locations along the Boulder – Denver Area and then send their MooMobile out on the town for sweet tooths everywhere! Their friendly, excited, and non judgmental staff (sure! go for that second scoop!!) makes the process all the more enjoyable. We’re sure whatever event your hosting, this delicious dessert truck will make it just a bit sweeter.
Last but most certainly not least on the last of the Food Truck Favorites – our tried and true Comida truck! Calluna + Comida have a long standing relationship that has complimented every wedding related culinary event – from rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions to post wedding brunches.
The combo between delicious tacos & their hospitable crew will always guarantee happy and satisfied guests, usually coming back for seconds, thirds, and fourths. Besides, who wouldn’t want that adorable pink truck complimenting their affair?! Throw in a piñata and we’ll call it a fiesta !!
