Last week the Calluna Events interns headed to the European Flower Shop, a Boulder based wedding florist, for our weekly wedding meeting to learn about wedding flowers, bridal bouquets, centerpieces and all things floral for weddings! Kristina Sutcliffe, owner and head designer of European, spent an hour with us describing the entire process of working with a bride on her wedding. We talked about the initial consultation, how she writes proposals, pricing for wedding flowers, their assembly and organization of the workload for the wedding weekend, and follow up with the bride on details as we get closer. She even showed us how they “process” flowers and how to make a succulent boutonniere!
