Happy Thanksgiving to our clients, vendors, friends, and community! We happily embrace this holiday as an opportunity to create space to gather with loved ones, to nourish our bodies with good food and drink, to rest, to set intentions for the coming chapters, and reflect on everything that helped us arrive to this moment.
This year our team took a moment of purposeful pause to reflect on the year behind us and share what we are wholeheartedly grateful for. We hope you join us in celebration this season and we wish you a very happy Thanksgiving from our family at Calluna Events to yours!

Once again, it’s my favorite time of year when we slow down and pause and reflect on the year we’ve had.
This year was our 21st season in business which means we celebrated our 20th anniversary this year. I continue to be honored to be part of the wedding industry after all this time and it’s incredible to run a business for so many wonderful years. I am inspired and grateful to be able to go to work each day and do something I love and am passionate about. I feel fortunate to work for a create for our clients alongside this wonderful wedding community.
As always, I am grateful for our clients who choose Calluna, the creative partners and venues we are fortunate to work so closely with and who continually entrust us their clients with us. I am particularly grateful for our clients from this year. Once again, we were fortunate enough to help plan, design and be a part of so many incredible weddings and events. And this year more than ever, we had a hand in planning milestone events – planning a 14th, 50th, 80th and 90th birthday, a Bat Mitzvah, a Bar Mitzvah, a retirement part as well as two baby showers! One of our Bar Mitzvah’s was for the son of the Governor of Colorado, and I am honored they chose to work with us for another milestone event. I am grateful for our clients’ trust in us and our ability to constantly grow and expand our offerings.
I continue to be grateful for our full time planners, Lindsay & Gabby, who are the heart and soul of Calluna, my right hands, who work tirelessly and who have such positive enthusiasm for our couples. As our extended team, Kristen, Gina, Melanie, Francesca, Kira, Keira, Kelly and Kirbi were constants at weddings this summer – planning with couples and assisting our Leads to ensure all of our weddings went smoothly. Wedding planning is sometimes a thankless job, a job that mostly happens behind the scenes, and they truly work above and beyond for our couples and our vendor partners. Our team not only ensures our couples vision come to life and their wedding dreams happen, but that it happens seamlessly, with calm and grace. And their work allows me to expand Calluna in exciting projects. I consider them all friends and love the impact they’ve had on my life and my business.
We also learned that our Lead Planner Lindsay and her husband Ken are expecting their first baby as well as our assistant planner Kira and Nate! And our assistant planners Megan and Keira both got engaged and are planning their own weddings for next year. Our assistant planner Gina, also welcomed a little girl in April. I’m thrilled for the growing families in the Calluna Crew!
I also continue to be so grateful for travel, as it’s one of my greatest joys in life and source of inspiration. Also, this year I was fortunate to travel to Nemacolin in Pennsylvania to attended another Engage!, as well as Kindred Collective events at El Encanto in April and A FAM at the Rosewood, both in Santa Barbara, which were inspiring, educational, and filled my heart! I planned weddings across Colorado and Wyoming, as well as one in Palm Springs, CA.
I am forever grateful for the love and support of my family and my friends, especially my husband, Brandon, our daughter Maggie and son Grey. I’m so grateful for our cabin in the mountain and weekend escapes, a trip to Cabo in June, a trip to the beach in MA to see family, a winter hut trip with friends and several road trips to the mountains of Colorado to ski, bike and enjoy the outdoors, as well as the mother-daughter trip I am about to take with Maggie to Vancouver to see Taylor Swifts’ the Eras Tour! I am grateful where we live in Colorado – for fresh air, sunshine, and being outside in the mountains.

Each year, I feel endless gratitude for the people in my life. My family, who continually show me a constant source of support and love, my friends who are always by side as a wonderful support system, our amazing vendor and client community who are the most incredible source of inspiration throughout the year. But this year’s, I’m feel the most grateful for my own growing family. In just a few short weeks, my husband and I will be celebrating the birth of our first child. We are so grateful for this little life and are endlessly thankful to soon be ‘mom & dad.’
While we know it will bring it’s challenges, as all new chapters do, we’re feeling so incredibly blessed to be able to bring new life into the world and are already thankful for the village that surrounds us that we know will show Baby Roberts the same support, love and guidance as they show us. We can’t wait!

This year, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for so many blessings, the greatest being the gift of motherhood. We welcomed our sweet daughter Adelaide into the world in April, and the joy she’s brought into our lives has been immeasurable.
As I reflect on my own journey of motherhood, I’m deeply thankful for the unwavering support I’ve received, and I don’t take it for granted. I’m so grateful for my mother, whose love and wisdom guide me daily, for my amazing husband—my partner in every sense—who has been by my side through it all, and for the wonderful community of moms who have been there to lean on.
As a daughter of immigrants, my understanding and appreciation for all of the sacrifices, resilience, strength, and love my parents gave have only deepened. They continue to inspire me in ways I never fully understood until now.
I’m also incredibly thankful for my partner, who jumped right back into work just two days after Adelaide was born, and has since shown up every single day to support our family. His love, patience, and dedication make this journey more beautiful, and as we navigate the ups and downs of parenthood, I couldn’t ask for a better teammate.
Finally, I’m deeply grateful for the health of our growing family. Addi is thriving, and her health and happiness are a gift I don’t take for granted. Every day with her is pure magic.
Wishing everyone a Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, warmth, and love, and a great Holiday season full of all the magic!
I’m grateful to and for my incredible strong community, both chosen and familial. The older I get, the more I recognize, value, and fiercely protect these steadfast relationships. What a privilege it is to be seen and loved so deeply. I’m grateful for the health, wellness, safety and stability for myself, my loved ones and my community – something I try very hard not to take for granted. I’m grateful for this phase of life: wife to Erik, overly-obsessed Dog Mom to Teddy, proud auntie to many (plus a few more on the way!), exploring new creative outlets, usually have my nose in a book (or 3), traveling to new-to-me places and destinations –– all while navigating the peaks and valleys this life provides.
In the year ahead, I hope we all find our pockets of peace, moments of connection and big celebration for the things that matter. After all – these are the days.
Sending lots of love to the entire Calluna community!
As we settle into this slower time of year and take time to reflect, we are so grateful for this community! Wishing you all a happy, healthy, heartfelt holiday season!
A few Thanksgiving reflections over the years!
