Lesley & JD came to Calluna Events through Lesley’s stepsister Amy which made their business extra special – we love personal referrals! From the beginning we adored Lesley & JD’s vision for their day – to simply enjoy their wedding. To them this meant an intimate ceremony along side their closest friends and family, skipping the fuss of a full-blown reception. We planned an outdoor ceremony at the extraordinary Four Seasons pool deck followed by a chic, modern cocktail reception. Mother Nature had a mind of her own; although we were able to still hold the ceremony and part of the cocktail hour outside after a passing thunderstorm, we decided to move the remainder of the reception inside to keep guests dry and comfortable. Throughout the weather delays and changes Lesley remained calm and didn’t allow the rainstorms to dampen her spirits, a true testament to her holding onto the most important piece of the wedding day – marrying JD!
We worked with The Perfect Petal for the florals and decor. This late summer wedding celebrated the warm, comfortable yet elegant style of the bride and groom with hues of raspberry, plum, gray and sunny saffron. Sequin linen, bold modern wood elements, interesting botanicals and contemporary ceramic vessels rounded out the look. The color palate was lighthearted and timeless with a sophisticated sensibility. A stunning yellow patterned aisle runner along with La Tavola New York silver sequin linen for the ceremony table provided an unexpected modern look.
We wish a lifetime of happiness for the amazing couple!
