Welcome back, venue lovers! We hope you’ve been following our top wedding venues series – Part One in the Front Range, Part Two in the Colorado Mountains and now we are rounding out with Part Three: our Venue Wishlist. We’ve worked in some pretty gorgeous locations, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream! Join us as we count down our favorites and hopefully one day we will see you there! xx, Calluna
Why we love it: Nestled in the lush forests of the Seattle, the child in all of us is dying of excitement to host an event in a TREE HOUSE! Trusty sources like Green Wedding Shoes have voted it in their top 26 coolest places to get married and Animal Planet loved the idea so much they created a television spinoff inspired by this “pinch me is it real?” venue.
How they describe their property: “A collection of Distinctive, Rustic Treehouses in a Fairytale Forest Setting, ideal for weddings, elopements, and romantic getaways of all kinds. Our purpose is to operate a nature conservatory that is the center of everything treehouse, a cultural events center that inspires and educates our community, and an environmental learning center that facilitates stewardship of our natural resources.”
Why we love it: We feel a similar vibe to this lovely resort as we do some of our other mountain destinations: The ever beautiful Rocky Mountains as your backdrop, acreage oozing sunshine or a light dusting of snow, and complete, utter serenity in the stillness of a working ranch. We’re already more relaxed just imagining it.
How they describe their property: “Located in one of the most stunning natural environments in the American West, The Ranch at Rock Creek is a wedding destination in the purest sense. As the world’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star ranch, our historic Montana property hosts one-of-a-kind destination wedding events. Ten square miles of river, forest, valley and vista provide almost limitless opportunities for breathtaking ceremonies, intimate brunches and festive receptions. The Ranch at Rock Creek weddings are designed to avoid the stress associated with metropolitan venues and destination wedding arrangements in tourist hubs.”
Why we love it: With the ceremony site beneath 100-foot redwood spires, giving it an ethereal and natural cathedral vibe, we can’t help but swoon over this venue. The rest of the property is completely break taking surround by all the beauty that nature has to offer.
How they describe their property: “The Santa Lucia Preserve is a community dedicated to appreciating and respecting the natural beauty of The Preserve and its geographical, historical and cultural setting. The community includes 300 families, the Santa Lucia Conservancy, and the staff who support operations and infrastructure. Working in partnership, the members of the community aim to gently settle, use, share, sustain and enjoy the land by protecting, maintaining and wherever possible, enhancing its natural resources and wildlife.”
Why we love it: Those aspens, that teepee, the waterfront mountain views!! Steamboat brings so much to the table and this venue seems to be the quintessential representation of a serene mountain wedding. We’ve seen some stunning Colorado location so our bar is set high – and we cannot wait to host an event here!
How they describe their property: “The Flying Diamond Ranch is a beautiful outdoor mountain wedding and private event venue just a 15 minute drive from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Picturesque aspen groves and open fields framed by forests and mountains with sweeping, majestic views of the Steamboat Ski Area create a stunning space to host magical and very private Colorado weddings, parties, galas and events.”
Why we love it: We knew this brand new ultra modern event space would be a hit, but didn’t know how much we would love it! The #callunacrew got a special surprise last week when our fearless leader threw us a surprise dinner party! We were completely in awe of everything the space had to offer – between the exposed brick, textured window treatments and high beamed ceilings, this versatile venue has so much to offer and can be decorated in a multitude of ways. Stay tuned or our styled shoot + professional photos our talented friend James Christianson!
How they describe their property: “Moss Event Venue is an industrial vintage event venue in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver. The building itself is an early 1900’s brick and steel industrial building with large windows and steel i-beams. We specialize in modern-industrial, rustic or vintage styles but are certainly not limited in our flexibility.”

Top Colorado Wedding Venues | Part Two: Rocky Mountain High
We’re continuing our three part series of our favorite Colorado venues and today we’re packing up our cars and turning up the tunes – it’s about time for a mountain getaway! From Aspen to Wyoming to all the way west of Telluride, we’ve stumbled on multiple pockets of heaven…and we plan to stay awhile. It’s impossible not to fall in love with each venue time and time again, and recounting the beauty in the nine properties below makes us incredibly grateful + giddy to be wedding planners (and devoted Colorado admirers). Enjoy!
**See Part One: Front Range options here and stay tuned for our Part Three: wish-list venues next week.
Dunton Hot Springs – Southwestern Colorado, outside Telluride
Why we love it: Outstanding luxury in tucked away in remote serenity.
We can’t contain our excitement as we prepare to visit Dunton Hot Springs for Meshach + Warren’s nuptials in a few short weeks. This quintessential wedding destination could not be more lovely, quietly and comfortably offering the purest Colorado beauty we’ve ever seen. Their website description sums up the resort experience: ‘This perfectly restored ghost town thrives on contradictions; hand- hewn log cabins exquisitely furnished, a life-worn saloon serving food of startling quality, lung torturing trails followed by pampering massages, sensuous hot springs beneath shimmering snow banks’. It’s a bit of a drive, but you’ll be transported by beauty.

Brush Creek Ranch – Southern Wyoming
Why we love it: 30,000 pristine private acres to get immersed in the wild, wonderful West.
Named #2 Hotel & Resort in the World, #1 Resort in the U.S and #1 Resort in the West by Conde Nast Traveler for the second consecutive year (wow!), this place is not messing around. A quick jump across the Colorado boarder, the rustic resort has all of the modern fixings to make your wedding more beautiful than you could ever imagine. We are overjoyed to accompany Karen + Jeff for their May celebration, and are already inspired by the natural beauty of this property.

Beano’s Cabin, Allie’s Cabin, Saddle Ridge – Beaver Creek
Why we love it: Classic Colorado beauty coupled with gourmet food and a scenic sleigh ride*.
These three venues are all part of Beaver Creek Resorts; some of our favorite spots to work in all of Colorado. Superior staff and incredible food are paramount at these venues. For our clients wanting the top notch Colorado mountain experience these are some of the best in the state. Equally stunning in the interior as the beautiful outdoors, we are hopelessly in love with Beaver Creek. *In the snowy season the only accessibility to Beano’s is by sleigh. Santa, is that you calling? We’re in love.
Devils Thumb Ranch – Tabernash, outside of Winter Park.
Why we love it: Log cabins, a Civil War era reconstructed barn, and breathtaking views of the Continental divide.
The views are unbeatable, the service is impeccable and if you’re lucky a few horses may make a guest appearance during your photo shoot. It’s the perfect Colorado escape regardless of the season (in fact – winter or summer – we can’t pick a favorite!) Your guests will enjoy a weekend getaway with onsite lodging options and authentic cabins, along with every activity under the sun. We’ve had so many gorgeous weddings here – including Lauren and Brad’s – the first to marry at the High Lonesome Barn. We are thrilled to already have a July wedding on the books!
Why we love it: Aspen’s only ski-in/ski-out resort, filled to the brim with top notch amenities and romantic intimacy.
We were privileged to work alongside some of The Little Nell’s premium culinary talent at the 2015 Boulder Burgundy Festival. We were blown away by their talent & poise, but also their down to earth, happy dispositions, making them a forever friend in the industry. Marry their upstanding service with the stunning hotel + event ground at the base of Aspen mountain, and any celebration at the Little Nell is destined to be dreamy.
Why we love it: Modern museum with a picturesque terrace.
Our first experience with this to-die-for venue was with Jessica + James, who happened to the second couple to be married at the museum! The ultra modern, actively functioning museum presented you with intriguing photo ops every where you looked (trust us, you want to see this stylish affair). The architecture, the clean lines and the jaw dropping views on the wedding deck had us ooh-ing and ahh-ing all day. This one is a high recommendation to the modern sleek bride + groom!
Molly + Nick made it official at Spruce Mountain Ranch last year and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the venue & staff. The cool Colorado charm and abundant space made the Ranch a home run… if you don’t believe us the ariel video posted on their homepage is enough to win anyone over. Between the spacious acreage and the overwhelming greenery we hope to be returning to this venue very soon.
Why we love it: Top-of-the-mountain, flagship Vail dinning experience
This new to the scene sit restaurant + bar has caught our attention – and the hearts of Hadley + Michael who will be saying “I do” atop this idyllic mountain top. Modern with a bit of cozy mountain flair, nature lovers find a little piece of heaven. This venue is exclusively accessible by foot, bicycle wheel, skis or cozied up in a gondola. If you ask us, that pretty much checks off every box we can think of when asking for an authentic Colorado Mountain experience.

St Regis – Aspen
Why we love it: Grandiose Aspen luxury, versatile decor options
We have to admit, when we think Aspen Colorado, we immediately think St. Regis luxury. This travel + leisure staple is a guaranteed grand time, whether you’re looking for a romantic white wedding like Vanessa + Avery’s or a sleek modern tented option like Page + Scott’s affair in the photos below. Our friends at the St. Regis always take care of us, and we’re grateful to have developed a relationship over the years so we can continue the inspired planning!
