I am Kelle Anne McCarter, founder of “designsgirl”, a graphic design and calligraphy
business. I am a wedding invitation designer for Bella Figura- the artisan letterpress
company in Syracuse, New York and provide calligraphy services to both Bella Figura
and its sister company Smock Paper. I am also a member of Crane & Co.’s stationery design team, providing calligraphy for its engraved stationery products. One of my creative ventures is “hello love” – an online paper goods shop featuring a collection of hand illustrated note cards, wedding invitation designs, holiday wrapping paper, and custom calligraphy rubber stamps.I publish a specialty art magazine called paperswell: modern design ideas for paper goods & weddings which celebrates all of the things I love- design, stationery, paper goods, weddings, crafts, photography, books and favorite artists and talented clients. I have known of Calluna Events for many years through reputation and it was a thrill to work with Calluna for the first time in 2013 when Calluna Events hired me to be the wedding calligrapher for couple Molly and Sammy. This lovely bride and groom gave me a wonderfully challenging commission of hand lettering each of the guest’s personal invitations which featured a Lana Frankel original illustration. What a grand way to begin my relationship with Calluna. I understand now through my own experiences why Calluna Events has the sterling reputation that it has and I congratulate Heather and her team on its very special 10-year anniversary and wish them another ten years and beyond of mighty success.
