We're calluna

Everybody knows that accessories are a girl’s best friend. From headbands to shoes, accessories can make or break a look… so we think there should definitely be no exception on your wedding day! Over the years we have been incredibly inspired by some of the fashion visions our brides have created, and we have loved seeing their personalities and wedding day looks shine through and made even more fab by some gorgeous accessories. We have compiled a list of our five favorite wedding accessory trends that we have seen and simply love for every bride looking for ways to accessorize on her big day!

xo, Calluna!

The Clutch: A clutch is the perfect way to amp up your bridal look. Not only will you be able to carry around your wedding day essentials, but you’ll look fabulous doing it! We were in love with Jessica’s mini gold clutch from her and Jeff’s Arizona wedding at the Biltmore, and Christine’s jeweled clutch from her and Patrick’s Boulder wedding at the St. Julien.

The Jacket: We love the idea of a cute jacket or shawl that will accentuate the beauty of your wedding dress. Whether you go for a trendy leather jacket like Sam did at her BMOCA wedding or a stylish fur get-up like the one that Erin wore at her and Marc’s St. Julien soiree, a jacket adds a unique element to your bridal style.

The Headpiece: While we love a traditional veil, we are incredibly inspired by some of our brides creative visions for headpieces. Having a boho-chic wedding? Try out a flower crown full of lush and beautiful florals. Jamesey’s whimsical floral crown made of Juliet roses and jasmine vine is the ultimate floral crown inspiration! Looking for something on the glam side? We simply adored Erin’s romantic jeweled headband. What about a twist to the traditional look? We were head over heels with Callie’s birdcage veil that gave her a vintage modern yet classic look.

Something Blue: The tradition of the bride wearing “something blue” on her wedding day has been around for ages and is meant to bring luck on the big day. While the tradition may be old, our brides have kept the tradition updated in new and fun ways by adding a pop of blue to their look. We love the idea of accessorizing with some fun blue shoes, just like Jenny did with her playful cowgirl boots. Or save the something blue for just you and your hubby, just like Jill did with her pastel blue hanky panky!

For the Groom: Don’t worry grooms, we haven’t forgotten about you! While lots of eyes will be on the bride, the grooms look is just as important! For the boys, we love the idea of a statement watch, whether it be a gift from the bride or a sentimental piece. On the more playful side, we love a fun pair of socks matched with the tie, like Peter’s flamingo socks from his wedding to Emily in Vail. Another great way to accessorize is to matchup with your groomsmen, we love how David and his buddies wore matching shirts on his wedding day to Rachel!
