We love all of the vendors that we work with, especially when they have such an incredible inventory of pretty. We chatted with Eclectic Hive and Gretchen from Yonder Floral & Decor House to hear about their favorite trends for this season and to check out some of their new inventory.

“Neutral and natural are always in style.
The foundation of so many different looks can be a neutral, natural palette. Eclectic Hive loves a beautiful base of high-end pieces with personalized accents and enhancements designed specifically for each client. New to the inventory this year is the natural twig chair, copper bar stools, the leather poe arm chair, grey and white geometric woven jute rug and natural jute stanchion rope.
These pieces pair naturally with a few loved and timeless items to include the leather sling barstool, foucault accent chair and indoor/outdoor woven akoi set.
While these pieces take well to color, they are also completed with simple, raw elements like antlers, tillandsia (air plants) and cacti. Some favorite textiles for these pieces include kilim, wool and mongolian fur pillows for a southwest flair.”
We are beyond excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with the St Julien Hotel & Spa, Rocky Mountain Bride, and many other top Colorado vendors for Spring Down the Aisle. What is Spring Down the Aisle you ask? Spring Down the Aisle is a contemporary tea service, blended with a wedding showcase and bridal fashion show. Brought to you by St Julien Hotel & Spa and Rocky Mountain Bride, this can’t be missed event begins at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. Soon-to-be brides and grooms, your wedding parties, friends and family are all invited to enjoy St Julien Hotel & Spa’s popular Saturday Afternoon Tea service, complete with teas by Tea Forte, champagne, petit fours, scones, sandwiches, live music and other delights.
All of the vendors involved have been hard at work to bring you an experience to remember and we want to give you the inside scoop! The idea behind Spring Down the Aisle is to give brides and grooms alike an opportunity to meet some of the best in the business while enjoying an event that is staged like a real wedding. We would like to lend a helping hand in your planning and give you some fresh inspiration with looks and tablescapes that are on trend for 2016! In other words, it is our way of showing you the “now” in a fun interactive way!
In the industry we have been seeing three prominent trends for this year and we took inspiration from the runways and added a Calluna spin on those trends! The first look is “Black Tie with a Twist.” With this look we are taking your traditional black tie wedding and spinning it with a brilliant navy blue instead of black. With pops of color throughout and hints of gold, we are sure you will be completely smitten with this classic look!

The second look is a “Floral Vibrant Look” which we have seen explode on the runway and throughout the 2016 trends. We like to think of this look as boho chic meets Kate Spade. It has those vibrant, bright colors and eye catching florals with a modern crisp twist. With white square chargers, ghost chairs, and glitzy white sequin linens,we are confident this look will be a total wow factor!

Last but certainly not least is the “Ethereal & Romantic Look.” This look works well with the 2016 Pantone colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue. We will use these colors throughout this look as well as beautiful soft muted tones curating a subtle elegance that will leave the hopeless romantics swooning!

2015 was one for the books, and we are thrilled to have been a part of so many fabulous weddings and events. This past year, we were truly impressed by some of the visions and ideas our clients presented, which we saw beautifully transformed into gorgeous celebrations. We witnessed new trends in fashion, event design, food and florals that we simply adored! With that being said, we are thrilled to see what 2016 brings for weddings, so we have compiled a list of some trends we are ecstatic to see this season.
The Look: Wedding dresses and styles have evolved over the years, and we are loving the revamped styles that have been introduced.

The Food: Lets face it, food is one of the best parts of attending a wedding. With the emergence of “the foodie” bride & groom, we have seen tremendous creativity in wedding menus and meals. 2016 will not disappoint, and we are anticipating some seriously fabulous food moments.

We’ve been on extra trend alert for 2016 winter weddings, perusing Pinterest and our feeds for the latest and greatest in cold weather nuptials. What we’ve found, and what we’re sharing, is a bit of a continuation from Summer floral trends – abundant greenery in every turn. Be it tablescapes, escort displays, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, dessert adornments and more, we’re asking for more green, please.
We’ve seen a few of our summer season brides hit the nail on the head with this look. Katy + Zach brought Blanc’s blank space to life by adding lush floral installations (brought to us by Lale Florals), accompanying the overflowing foliage and shubbery on the exterior exposed brick walls. The juxtaposition of dinning indoors while being surrounded by the beauty of nature created an organic yet modern vibe. We love each curated piece throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour and rehearsal to transport this stripped down venue into an overgrown urban garden.
Kat + Nick had a different execution but equally compelling outcome – their “enchanting forest” vision had the Boulder Country Club dripping with moss, ferns, succulents, air plants in every pocket possible, tastefully accented with pops of purple, creams and gold. Masterfully created by The Perfect Petal, this inspired event took advantage of every shade, texture and type of greenery we could ask for – and it paid off.
After seeing two Calluna brides nail it, we’re hooked. We love stepping away from our traditional white wedding bouquet and with distinct, rich, plush greenery – a striking contrast from your white wedding gown. We love allowing greenery to take the stage as our leading lady while letting our brighter florals becoming the supporting actress – a look that is a no brainer to transfer from the summer to winter season. And did we mention it’s a penny pinching trick?
We’ve stumbled upon a fool proof guide to colder season greens by our friend Martha Stewart – a bit of inspiration and information to navigate every scent, texture & types of holiday greens to add to your next winter event.
Thanks for reading! xx, Calluna
